Anyone know what the difference is between University College and Honors Program? I only got invited to University College and am in the School of International Service.

I think universitu college is like GW's living and learning communities. I'd look those up, because I think UC is somewhat new to AU. Did anyone NOT get invited to UC? because the invitation is to apply to get in, not to just simply join up.

I still haven't gotten my acceptance packet (just the e-mail), so I don't know if I was invited to apply for the UC, but I was admited to honors according to the e-mail. Did everyone else hear about UC in their packets?

I did, and apparently it isnt offered to everyone. It is a new program they started this year. If you read the invitation it says something like, "this invitation is extended to our top applicants" or somewhere along those lines. However I didn't get into the honors program.
Did anyone else receive a letter/email from their school's dean?

apparently the University College is some sort of program where you can take seminars with other freshmen and get a credit for it.... not sure on the details. But it seems like it was extended to top applicants who didn't get an honors invite

I got an email from SPA's dean on the 15th. It said pretty standard stuff. The standard buttering up "top student" and then all about the school, then reminded me to call or email if i had any questions. It was nice of them, although they don't really need to sell me on their school

Just out of curiosity, where did all of the students who have been accepted so far apply besides AU?

I applied to...

NYU
Boston University
Northeastern University
SUNY Albany
SUNY Binghamton
University of Hartford

The only ones I have yet to hear from are Boston U (which releases decisions online on Thursday I believe) and NYU. Considering they both don't give me $15-20,000 a year (ha!), I'll most likely be going to AU.

I applied to....

Baylor University
TCU
USC
Pepperdine
Fordham
Tulane

AF337 did u get in to all of those

I got into U.of Colorado at Boulder ,Colorado State, TCU, Baylor, Texas A&M, Tulane, waiting to here from Vandy, Boston U, Northeastern, and American basically all that are on the top of my list.

accepted to International Affairs but probably not going

I have gotten into Tulane, TCU, Baylor, and American.

Dunkaroo, did you get an e-mail last week or??

Same. Except I know I'm not going for sure (unless by some miracle I get a scholarship of around 15k). Accepted but no scholarships. No aid either because I'm an international student so... shrugs

Ok guys, so I have the weirdest story.....I just received an email from AU offering me admissions for the Spring 2006 semester. They gave the typical shpeel about how there were so many qualified applicants and blah blah blah and then said that they wanted me to attend AU but because of how many good applicants there were they couldn't offer me a spot for Fall 2005 but a spot would be waiting for me in Spring 2006. I am sooooo confused! What does this mean? I mean I understand I was accepted but what does this say about me as an applicant? I was good but not good enough for immediate admissions? Also if I was to accept this offer what would that mean for adjusting in the Spring. I mean I would just suddenly come on campus in the Spring after people had well established roomates, friends, and lives.....GAH! What a confusing confusing thing. shrugs Any comments are greatly appreciated!

E-mail/call them. They'll know more than us.
