Thank you to everyone on CC. You guys have been so heart-warmingly helpful!!! Good luck to you. I hope that we can see each other in NY!

P.S. a quick question:
NYU says that its ED decision is “conditional upon satisfactory completion of any educational activity now in progress.” Hmm…what’s the chance of getting kicked out of ED? I heard that ED acceptees need to withdraw all other apps; what if NYU takes back the ED decision? will I end up with no college to go (nooooo!)?

Wishing you an early Merry Christmas!!

wat does the acceptance letter look like? is it a big or small envelope

high sat/low gpa result from lazy students good at filling in the right bubbles

congratulations jessica!! hahaha i think that they won’t do anything as long as you maintain at least a C average in each of your class…

it’s time to enjoy senior year!

General Comments:
I’m so excited
happy early christmas

No AP’s and IB’s? Wow. Must have had one helluva hook to get in.

um…why’d you post the same template again? and with the same mistakes (it’s clearly from the stanford thread)

workin on it buddy.

hahaha im working on sanity at this point.
monday cannot come soon enough, but im expecting a rejection in all honesty.
i have a 3.4 UW GPA and a 1430/2180 SAT score.

the terrible thing is though, i applied to Stern. i dont feel like im the kid they are looking for, now that i reflect on my application.

im a proud soccer captain, inspired poet, region band percussionist, and dedicated volunteer but i dont have many business related topics in my application.
and im not the typical asian/indian/chinese kid. ive lived on three continents and four countries, and my social group consists of friends with various ethnic backgrounds.

and i dont strive to compete against other students, i just do my own thing.
ive heard/seen stern students wear suits to class, id be that guy wearing the college sweatpants and sweatshirt.

random rant, but it felt good to get it off my chest

lol i shud’ve applied to stern. my WHOLE essay was about business. : / but i didnt want to get in to a major that i didnt want to pursue. i wanted to get in for what i actually wanted to do. maybe the killer essay might help. but its kinda talking about a totally diff major lol oh well.

and yeah im that kid too. who wears sweat pants and stuff. but i also do like to wear jeans and stuff once in a while. but its just high school

haha well im not saying i should have applied elsewhere within NYU, for i love Stern with all that i have.

im just saying, maybe they aren’t looking for kids like me, who dont give a **** for cutthroat enviroments. i just want to learn about business management, i dont want to get involved with selfish ethnic clicks

hey…there is OFFICIALLY A NEW THREAD FOR STATISTICS called “official accepted or rejected thread - class of 2014” which is the LASTEST AND NEWEST VERSION. The questions have been UPDATED and are most current for NYU. It is clutter free and conversation free so please do NOT post anymore statistics on this thread and if you already have posted on here thank you, and you can either copy and paste to the other one or leave it on here. Either way works. Again, please do not post conversations on the other thread. The conversations can go on the thread called “official ED thread for class of 2014.” This thread is now CLOSED.

I’m pretty sure only moderators can CLOSE threads. . .

There were some conversations going on throughout the thread, and it’s kind of rude to “shut down” the thread just to make the other one “official”. Why can’t both be open?

The other one is strictly for statistics. And there already is a thread for conversations on Early Decision related topics for NYU.

@nyucas :
seriously C average?! did NYU specify this cut-off? HoOrAy then we can burn our textbooks lol…

@Nooooob: it’s a big envelop (about A4 size) with an indigo folder inside. “New York University” and “Congratulation!” are written on the folder. I think missamericanpie wrote a description of the mail. I remember that I was really surprised to see that she can even recall the font color and every little details correctly…unfortunately I’m not sure where her post is now…

I’m sure now that my app was an epic fail. My stats aren’t nearly as perfect as some of yours. Maybe they’ll show some compassion/mercy. Honestly, I’m expecting a rejection too.
