this wait is ****ing me off :(

Ahh, I only got a 26. I have no idea what happened. My science really dragged me down though. I'm retaking in October and really want to get above a 30, does anyone have any studying tips! Also, I'm applying to Tisch ED (for film) does anyone know what a good ACT score would be for them? Thank you!

Is there a way to cancel score reporting to colleges?

pianoboy, I actually didn't study at all. I had Barron's ACT prep book, but its directions and instructions were really way too difficult to follow. I mainly used mistakes that I made from the first time taking the test to benefit me the second time, such as:

1) Going a lot quicker on reading this test and the science test are all about speed, if you don't go quick, you won't get done, and all of those questions you don't get done are automatic points off. During the April test, I didn't even get to glance at the last passage, and had to guess on 5-6 questions. That's 4-5 questions wrong right there (depending on how lucky I was) and then any that I missed earlier in the section.

2) Going a lot quicker on science - same with the reading, you just have to be quick. I thought the graphs/tables/etc were easier on the june test than on the may test, so that definitely helped my score

3) Going a lot slower on math it's so easy to make minor mistakes here and there on the math test; the points can add up quickly though. I was really lucky this test...during the last 3 minutes I had to check over my work, I found one that I answered incorrectly :)

4) Taking more time on the difficult english questions (like where it asks you to describe what the passage was about etc)

I got a 30 composite,I'm pretty happy with it although I'll probably take it again

same as hello32

How do you guys do well on English and Math. I got a 34 on reading and 33 on science but a 25 on English and 27 on math. If I could get both of those up to a 30, my composite would jump to a 32 and I would be reaally happy with that.

If i have decent reading and english scores that i'm satisfied with but not satisfied with my math and science, is there any way i can retake the test and combine the reading and english from my old test (seeing as i dont do better on the new test) with the science and math from the new test if i do better? i dont know if that makes sense or not but please let me know!

anyone know when the writing scores will be sent? can you see writing early also? does anyone know if the act takes care of sat IIs also? (for such schools as duke, gtown, uva, dartmouth, cornell) thanks.

33/30/28/30

My June: e/m/r/s/(avg): 35/36/30/36/(34)

my ACT trend from Dec 02 until June 05 (wow, that's quite a few ACTs)

One more reading comp question and I could've gotten a 35...oh well. Should I take ACT once more? The best fit line tells me that I could raise my score...hehe

wow....somebody has WAY too much time on their hands

English: 35
Math: 31
Reading: 36
Science: 33
Composite: 34

That's cool, I guess.

GOSH stupid ACt people. Must wait till tomorrow!

29/27/26/27

I was so happy with this score. Thiscomposite of 27 is the highest ever at my school.

Comp: 35
E: 36
M: 33
R: 35
S: 35
I also have a 36 in Reading from a previous test, but that doesn't change my composite score.

what books did u guys use?

MarvinCarr, where do you want to apply?

I got the Kaplan book, but I barely used it. I don't recommend it, I took one English practice test and I went to score it and found that I had missed like 12 in a row, but the answers that were supposed to be correct made no sense at all. Besides that, it seemed like there were a lot of errors elsewhere.

Composite: 35

English: 35
Math: 35
Reading: 33
Science: 35

The only prep I did was from the SAT a week earlier.
Also, If every subscore of my math was 18, how come I didn't get a 36 in math?
