im pretty worried about the xray graph tanking my score. Hopefully I guessed right! :b

for the last science section did you put 27% for one of the answers and also what was the answer in terms of abcd for the one after that question( i think # 38) also do u guys remember the answers to the dominant/recessive gene section. thanks

In dominant recessive:
For one of the answers,
I put: 100%

arguing scientists part was definetely easiest of the whole section

the last passage was just really out there. I had no clue what to do. Can someone explain to me basically the whole section? I had quite a bit of time left over and I still couldn’t figure it out. Especailly the percent question, someone said 27% was the answer( I think i guessed that =) )

Does anyone have a explanation that they are sure of for the probability or the qQ Qq problem?

@collegekevy - i got 27%.

Was the last passage E0?

You just had to measure the distance from the Absorb line upto the boundary of C line. It was like 25% - which is closest to 27%

What do you mean by the Qq qQ problem?

@pkmontag: For the last passage, I dont really know what was going on (no one really does in ACT science), but the thing that I think confused a lot of people is that the lines themselves did not correspond to the 4 types (they were called A, B, C, D I think). It was the space between the lines that corresponded.

If its the percent one, it was 100% cause it said Trait Q was recessive and both of the parents had Trait Q so their alleles has to be qq and qq. So no matter the combination, the kids would have to have trait Q.

OHH that makes more sense kinda. Thanks. Hopefully theres kind of a big curve on it.

i also got 27% for an answer

I got railed by the % absorobance and transmittance section

those graphs were very confusing…

Was it “metal conductor” for the rail gun question? And was the last one “Lines B and C only”?

Metal conductor, yes… I think.

I do not remember the other question. Sorry.

it was metal conductor.

I don’t remember the last question but i think i put A and C only (either that or B and C only)… Idr exactly though (was rushing) so don’t rely on that.

Score for randomly guessing on the last 5 and maybe missing another?

for the last 5 i put

DCBCA (or the equivalent with H,G, etc…)

I had to guess on 5 AND i didn’t even read the experiment stuff… and I thought the science section was supposed to be the easiest!

I put B for the last 4 problems cuz I ran outta time…
I literally think I missed as many as 9, which would give me a 27 :(

Does anyone remember the subjects of each passage?

I’m trying to remember what I guessed/got wrong.

Fighting Scientists q 1-7: Climate change, humans hunting - North America.

Charts + Graphs q 8-12: Genes

Experiments q 13-18: Conductor/electric charge and rocket distance?

Experiments q 19-24: ________

Charts + Graphs q 25-29: _________

Experiments q 30-35: _______

Charts + Graphs q 36-40: _______

I know there was a moles passage with solute, pH, acids bases but don’t know which one it was. Fill in the blanks if you can, thanks!
