length of chord 8cm..........it hit the x axis k times......-.5

English-Easy
Math-Ok, but about 5 Questions were Hard for Me
Reading- Did not Finish at all, first time i did not complete, had to bubble in 10 answers without reading
Science- Ok, short on time, so I didnt read anything, just looked in graphs and answered

I either got -1/2 or 1/2 for the cosine one, but I forgot. :(

I finally completed Reading and Science, without running out of time; and some extra time, to boot.

I hated all those, "which would be the least acceptable way to write this?" type of question

math questions that i remember....

-1/2 for the sin cosine one
K <-- for one of the questions
hits X axis 3 times -> 2
X^2-X=b question --- 12
chord one is 8 because of the 3-4-5 rule

what else?

What about the last one, where it said if "D was roated 180 degrees around E...which formula is it equivalent to..."

From what you're telling me, here are some answers to the questions:

Simply do a right triangle with the radius (5) as the hypotenuse, and the perpendicular bisector of the chord from the center (3) as one of the legs. You will get the other leg equal to 4. Double that, and you get the length of the chord, which is 8.

I don't have enough here to answer the question.

If the angle is in the first quadrant, the angle would be 60 degrees, so the cosine must be 1/2.

Where was all of the geometry. Esp, the triangles, where were they?

i said for that one atmost it had to be 1

Math was really tough!

I got a 36 on the April math, and as someone else said, the last 10 or so math questions had some real tough problems thrown in there.

The big one that I didn't get was the a+b+c=60. All integers, 0<b<30 and a<0 what is the minimum value of c?

Another one that I am pretty sure I messed up was the x^2-x=b where the problem has one positive x and one negative x, what is b?

EDIT: I think it has to be 20....-4 and 5 must be the values. I got it wrong because I didn't really think about it.

angle was in the 2nd quadrant

I plugged in

Sin^-1 of (square root of 3 over 2)
then plugged the answer to Cos (2x) which you would get -.5

Also what did you get for the question about the test scores and whether you could figure out the class average.

*
3. If the angle is in the first quadrant, the angle would be 60 degrees, so the cosine must be 1/2.*

I think this one was -1/2, because it said something about being in Quadrant II.

the 3, 4, 5 was right on the chord, but you have to double the 4 for length 8.

12 is correct for the x squared - x = b (b = 12)

wasn't it 2k for the sin problem...it hits the x axis k times for y = b sin x so for y = bsin2x it hits the x axis 2k times...use the calc and it checks out i'm pretty sure.

overall....math was extremely easy and i don't think i missed a single one (with the exception of that k or 2k problem...should be good for a 35 or 36 and i'll be thrilled!)

for the x suqared - x = b, there is one postive integer solution and one negative and you had to find b. b = 12 because -3 and 4 both solve the equation.

c = 22..you take a at -1 and b at 29 and c = 22.

yeah I thought the math was pretty hard, rest wasnt that bad. Is there any chart for a basic curve I know it changes from test to test but I want to get an idea.

I just didn't give enough info for that one.

My biggest concern is with the a+b+c=50 problem. I'd really like to know what the hell that was talking about.

Also, when colleges get your scores, do they see the breakdowns or just the composite?

i thought science was pretty easy, except i didnt understand that one about the graph of delay, that was like one question though.
writing was pretty easy i thought...
was it patient's needs OR patients needs or what?
math was excruciatingly painful.
reading was dull
essay was lame

What was the one where it said: "AOB is like 50 degrees bigger than HOP, which statment isn't true" (Note: I don't think the numbers/letters are correct)

essay: sports positive or negative influence on high school students?

easy! i talked about running tons of miles and the dedication and desire that crosscountry/ track has instilled in me and the value of lessons, teamwork, etc. and a quote from a teacher and mentioning that politicians praise the values of high school athletics and the lessons they learned on their teams---PROBLEM was length again and short conclusion...only 1.5 pages but great variety and i used like 10 of those "woah" words that are really big and from vocab books and made sure they fit...i referred more to athletics and scholastic rather than to sports and academics. i only got a 2 sentence conclusion but it was nice and kinda funny so i guess a 10 is about right. who knows, maybe better since i addressed all the counter arguments and seemed to write better here than on the SAT with better vocab and stuff.

What essays did everyone else have? i noticed there were bubbles for like 10 diff. essays.
