I go to a Catholic School and they are having an all Catholic School Conference tomorrow so I have no school and won’t be losing any sleep tonight. 8 hours 43 minutes

I was wondering if anyone would mind posting how much prep time they spent to earn these scores? Was this your first time testing? I am extremely nervous for my son’s scores to come out. He did awful on the SAT in January. He did prep slightly before taking the ACT- did a practice test for each section and read some book with tips. He needs at least a 27 for an Honors Diploma at his high school and at least a 29 for a couple of colleges he is looking at. He does well in his classes but not so well on standardized tests.

mominwestlake - I’ll be able to help you at 1 in the morning, once I get my scores!

This wait sucks. 7 hours 19 minutes… I don’t know if I’ll be able to go to sleep without checking them.

mominwestlake: this is my ACT story lol (shortened of course)

8th grade: no essay 24 no prep
9th grade: no essay 27 no prep
10th grade: 11 essay 34 worked my ass off (as in did every practice book out there. Kaplan, barons, official, princeton you name it)
11th grade: 11 essay 34 no prep (maybe 1 practice test)

The scores will come with practice/familiarity. Practice tests are really the best way to go. Taking courses aren’t that helpful IMO. I took one as a 9th grader… oh boy its just a daze I don’t remember a thing.

I got my scores already…and I took the writing section too! Weird.
Anyway, I got a 33. It was my first time taking it (other than PLAN)

I wonder if ACT will put the writing scores online too. They probably will stick to what they put in writing. Everybody could have been had their scores by now

Has anyone figured out the Science and Reading Curves yet??
Is:
Science -1 a 34 or 35
Reading -1 a 35 or 36

-1 35 for both

Not that I’m doubting you, but do you have any proof or any reason?

if my status says tested…does that mean i will get them tonight? Because last time my scores came out 2 weeks late and the status said registered.

I hope so. Does anyone have any specific info about amandapanda21’s question?

yes u should get them in a few hours if it says tested

Taken it 5 times so I know :)

(well actually Ive taken it 6 times now but Ive gotten my scores back 5 times)

I took the October one and the February one seemed much harder. I got a 34 on the October one.

And any info on the English curve?

hotinpursuit: I understand. A previous poster got straight 35s so science is definetly -1 35 and I hardly believe a -2 will be a 35 on reading, therefore a -1 35 for reading makes sense as well

nuclearpirate: I got a 35 so I’m guessing - 1 35 (I felt really good about this section… idk why lol because it used to be my worst)

Where is your ‘tested’ status?

@firesoul17: Under “Your Test Dates and Scores”.

Thanks leadlol!

It stil says ‘registered’. =/ But I’m CST so I’m staying up till midnight anyways!

oohhh that usually means your scores won’t be ready in time but since ACT has been doing a lot of sketchy things for this test I wouldn’t rule out the possibility completely

Does anyone know if the science has a “not possible” score (the curve omits a 34, jumps to 33, etc.), and for reading, could you miss like 4 and still get a 33, even if it’s a -1 35?
