i wonder wy my Dec 11 ACT score not available yet, i was not standby.

i took ACT in october and let me tell you, ACT SCIENCE STINKS. It shouldn't even be called science. My science grade brought me down from a 33 to a 31.

33 Composite :) :)
35 English
31 Math (Ooops.)
33 Reading
33 Science

I kind of decided last-minute to graduate early, since I have all the credits I need. Anyway, this was my first time taking the test. If I was actually going to have a senior year, I'd probably try again...but hey, 33 is perfectly fine with me. Oddly enough, I was totally convinced I bombed this.

thanks for the words of encouragement Ally, gl with your score 2

i guess the general consensus is that math time limit was nutty?

I don't really know WHAT to think of the time limit, because I'd had NO experience really with the ACT before, but in general...yeah. The math time limit seemed super-short. Also, I really hated the science section. Same with reading. I'm not sure how I managed to score well in either of those secitons. I just kind of skipped reading anything, went straight to the questions, and kept my fingers crossed. Probably not the most effective strategy, but I guess it worked alright.

i got sherangated by the test. ended up with a loser sign on my forehead and a 24 composite.

I'm a senior and I have one more time to take the ACT test. What would be some helpful tips on how to score higher?

Do you know anybody who got perfect scores?

A guy at my school got a 36 last year...I despise all the Lawrence Livermore Lab scientists' sons and daughters that whoop me at everything. Oh well.

No score yet in Alabama either....ahhh

Who knows when they'll be mailed out?

They told us that we wouldn't recieve our scores for 4-7 weeks.... so maybe next week or 1st week in January

Meh, they don't have my scores up yet.

The last time I paid $8 for my early scores, I received my scores in the mail a week later.

Has anyone taken their ACT test more than five times?

for international student they get their score 4 weeks after the test (and they cant get their score online since they dont know their ACT ID number).. :(

I think the ACT is the only test where it doesn't matter how many times you take it. They only send out the scores you want them to, and you can also have them drop a record of a test completely from their records should you request it.

meh. i got a 30..i dont know my subscores because i did not pay early for my scores. I was on the UNC website (where i applied EA) to check my status, and i was browsing through my high school stats incase there was a thing for midterms, and i came across an ACT score that said 30, and i sent my scores to UNC (obviously) so that is the score i got....I wanna see what my subscores were....o well, at least i didn't have to pay $8 to see my scores, but got to see them early anyway!

i hate the ACT. i suk at all standardized tests, but o well. im done forever w/ college testing! (except AP tests)

wow...congratulations on all of your scores....you all did really well....I wish my scores were in the 30s....but I guess we're not all meant to be standardized test taking geniouses

does anyone remember their PLAN composite score from a year or two ago and what was your increase?

PLAN(This Year as a Sophmore):
English - 29
Math - 29
Reading - 26 (Darn Harsh Curve)
Science - 20 (Fudge that time limit)

Composite: 26/32
ACT Projected Range for 11th Grade: 27-31

ACT(This Year as a Sophmore):
English - 29
Math - 26 (Fudge that time limit)
Reading - 31
Science - 31

Composite: 29/36

In general, I think that the test is a low indicator of ACT scores.

As you can see even from the same year I don't think the two tests measure up well. None of my scores really match up. Then again, I don't think either of the tests was an accurate gauge of my abilities. I consistently score 31s on practice tests now.
