Official ACT Score Post

again congrats....keep posting

i just got mine today..
comp. 30
english 30
math 27
reading 33
science 28

.. which may sound low to some of you geniuses but I was happy with it.. I've never really tried studying for these tests, does anyone think I could pull a 31-33 with some studying?

great job lauren...sure you can do better with just a little prep....congratulations...did you pay to see them online or did you get them in the mail?

got them in the mail... a few friends of mine did too, I was surprised they came so early! It's been barely two weeks.. maybe mail delivers fast in Ky, I don't know

whoa..I called today and they said that my test has not even been scored yet....

Paid 8 bucks last week, and they showed up TODAY. I thought they would take as long as the PSAT, but I was wrong-(like I was on the math....) 33 composite isn't bad, but when you get a 36 on the science, you think the math should be better. I am going to take them again.

I got mine in the mail today also.... i guess ky does deliever fast...

i paid for mine last week.. 31! 4 pts up from september!

congrats, sw33tie - that's a great increase and a very respectable score.

I just wonder do ACT questions (in reading and science) appear in chrological order; in other words, does the testmaker ask a question about first paragraph, then another about second paragraph...and so on; or, do the reading questions just jump around?

Well this blows...they still don't have my scores.

chris - I believe the line reference questions are in order, but the passage still seems to skip around some in questions. I got a 32 on the reading by actually reading the passage (at a quick pace) and then answering most questions from my memory of the passage. I finished with like 2 seconds left over so if the passages are more difficult this might not work. But I think it is easier to focus really hard and understand the passage so the questions will come naturally and take up less time. gl!
oh and snappymatt, I still don't have more scores either =(

i got a 35 on reading (no idea how) but what i did was i skimmed through the passage first to get an idea, then i went through the questions without looking at the answers and referred back to the passage.

What books did you guys use to prep for the ACT? Barrons, Kaplan, Princeton Review, or other? Good job to all that took the test!

AHHH! i just got my score back

33 Composite
33 English
34 Math
35 Reading
28 science (ewwww)

I might take it again (im a junior)...but seeing as that was the 4th time ive taken it, i dont know....saturday mornings are really meant for sleeping in :)

33 composite is a VERY VERY great score singingal - If you want to retake go for it but great job! (I only have a 29...:/

what is a sat to act conversion, for example, what is a 1500 on teh sat equal to on the act when colleges look?

i dont think its a good idea to convert between SAT and ACT... they're pretty much imo two very different tests, althought some of the topics may overlap...

if u really would like to know... u could just compare percentile scores, since tha'd make the most sense... however.. i dont kno wut they are.. so i cant help u there lol... sry.

yea... i have to take the ACT AGAIN... the college i want to go to requires the new ACT w/ writing.. which they dont offer as a separate test... sigh

i'm pretty sure you can take the act writing by itself and add it to your act test.

I believe it goes like this

ACT Score of = SAT Score of
26 = 1180
27 = 1220
28 = 1260
29 = 1300
30 = 1340
31 = 1380
32 = 1420
33 = 1460
34 = 1520
35 = 1560
36 = 1600

I got these numbers from the University of California website under admissions criteria. hope this helps !
