Whatever. My bubble's not burst; I know it was a hard program to get into, and it wasn't at the top of my list anyway. Hope all of you who are attending next year have an awesome time! :)

diablo2fan: no thats their targetted freshman class size. they will accept way above that number because they don't have a 100% yield rate haha. they probably accept around 10000 give or take a a couple hundred....so close to 20%-23% acceptance rate.

I may have no right to say this, but StanfordHopeful, you're going to face a tough time with Stanford admissions (sorry, Bruins...this is the UCLA post, I know). Nonetheless, I hope you prove me wrong.

if stanford hopeful is going to have a hard time at stanford admissions i am going to like totally die or something. I have a lower SAT score but i had to apply it was my dream school and it doesnt hurt to try

crazykidwanabe: I'm not attempting to crush dreams or anything; Stanford is a reach for an applicant that doesn't have certain circumstances; as an applicant, it's a reach for me too. So was UCLA.

eiffelguy: its ok you havent crushed my dreams i got over my whole stanford stage already it wouldnt hurt if i get in but it wouldnt hurt if i dont! Congratulations to all those who have been admitted and hopefully i'll see you all at UCLA!

That is a really dumb attitude for him to take. It's not about what school you go to, it's about what you do when you're there. You can get an awful education at Harvard if you just sit on your butt playing video games, and you can get a good education at Podunk State if you work to get into higher level classes and make nice with professors who can help you. College is what you make it.

agree with malachitefalcon, "college is what you make it" and this is especially true also with a big public like UCLA. as an education minor, i know that it's really the person that creates success, not the school; schools just provide the resources for success.

i always point out the valedictorian from my high school who went to UCR and got accepted into UCLA medical school. i also point out the CC poster alicantekid, who passed up brown for UCI, but it was mostly him/her-self that got him/her into UCLA Anderson business school, not the school that he/she went to.
