seriously what the ***** is this **?! ahhhhhh now im *ed i have better scores than these people and i got rejected! i hate ucla! how the helll do they do their decisions??? omgggggggggggggggg this is freaking rediculous. i really dont understand this. once again..........I HATE UCLA.

numbers aren't everything, puredankocity, for any school...

i hear ya, brotha. 4.2 uc gpa and 1420 sat and i got rejected! AND i was first-gen college AND english wasnt my first language AND im an immigrant AND im in-state. WHAAAAAT THHHEEEEEE EFFFFFFFFFFFF??!?!

Rejected

4.1 UC GPA
1430 SAT
800/730/710 SAT IIs

disappointing to say the least

Do you really think 4300 were accepted out of 42000? that sounds like an amazingly low acceptance rate

Maybe UCLA rejected the high-SAT (1500+) applicants to boost their yield rate, thinking that they would probably opt for Stanford, Caltech or the Ivy Leagues instead...

guhh why does it seem so random??????? bcp05 u have awesome stats too... blah

Accepted!! XD

4.3 UC GPA
1500 SAT
800/780/760

no, numbers aren't everything, and if they were i would probably be rejected. but my numerous accomplishments, leadership positions, minority status, and EXCELLENT FREAKING ESSAYS and not bad scores should have gotten me in! but this makes me feel SO MUCH BETTER to know that they are completely RANDOM....... and ps im a girl and girls are usually stupid!!!!!! ahhhhhh

"Do you really think 4300 were accepted out of 42000? that sounds like an amazingly low acceptance rate"

I think they accepted about 10,000 and expect 4,300 to actually enroll.

stanmaster - no 4300 weren't accepted, 4300 is the number they're shooting for for the entering class - they usually accept about twice as many as they hope the class size to be... probably 9000 were accepted
