Hello.
I was wondering whether UC schools like UCSD send official acceptance letter first than post directly online. They emailed me March 20th that my status changed in UCSD website, but I received my official letter earlier than the email.

They usually send an e-mail notification first before snail mail gets to you. You should consistently check your e-mail as well as the Admisssion’s website to see if they have admitted or rejected or waitlisted you.

ah ha icic
thanks!

I got acceptance emails on the 1st, 15th, and 19th and haven’t recieved mail packets from any of three schools yet @___@

Turns out I got the package from Riverside today – only 20 days after I got accepted.

Do they send out emails first, or will the portal update prior to email letter for either/both?

what happened last year was you got an email to check your portal. You would check your portal and afterwards they would send you and email.

however, if you check your portal religiously you might see the change in admissions status before they actually send out the email

I got my package from UCSB Wednesday night, after I was admitted…on the 19th, I think it was…
