Official AEM Decision Board

If you applied to AEM, please click on Thread Tools (above) and select Subscribe to this Thread. That way, we'll all know when other ppl hear of their decisions. Looking back at last year's decisions, at least one person found out February 25 (which was a Friday last year). I just don't want to waste my time worrying. So, Subscribe and Post when you hear back!!!! --- Historically, (supposedly) AEM applicants hear back the latest, whereas bio majors are one of the first.

good luck guys! can't wait to find out some more of my future classmates.

I hope I get in. I want to become an investment banker. And Cornell has good campus food.

Cornell has some of the best campus food in all of US. Don't you worry about that :)

Best of luck to each of you! I was just looking at the curriculum requirements for the AEM program. Why would they require 6 credits of bio and 3 of physics or chem??? Does anyone understand the rationale? Did you each submit an SAT II in a science? Please enlighten me.

Since AEM is in CALS, there's a slight emphasis on science. Science is great. It's nice to know how your body works and stuff. I can see how physics works well with buisness, since you may be involved in some basic engineering type things if you build a building in your business. I didn't submit an SAT II science, but if you look at the classes I've taken, they are quite centered around the sciences -- i hope this helps me.

So it looks like CALS is rolling out their decisions as we speak. But no one on CC who applied AEM seems to have gotten in yet. I'm hoping a big batch comes out this and next week. =)

good luck all of you guys..i am a senior in AEM...i transferred to AEM from arts and sciences..best move I ever made..its an incredible major with great career opportunities after

I submitted only ACT scores. The CALS website has an FAQ, "Do I need to take SAT II subject tests?" The answer includes the following, "Students who do not submit scores are not penalized in the admissions process."

That's great news, Andydrosis! Thanks for pointing that out. How about you, sports684? Once you transferred in, did you need to take those science courses?

I guess no one has heard yet? I haven't heard anything.

My friend got into Communications major today (Not sure if in CALS?). I applied to AEM and haven't heard yet but the status sight says they've received everything so hopefully I'll hear soon. Good luck to all, and to all good luck.

Has anyone received an AEM decision who applied as an RD applicant? Does AEM normally lag behind the other CALS programs in the rolling decision process?

Noone from AEM as of yet...they're prolly gonna take some time because of the high number of applications...I bet the CALS committee saves it for last. =(

lol wow what an idiot i was to apply for AEM.......im guessing the competition is rediculous....does anyone know the Acceptance rate for AEM, or a ballpark figure at least

less than 20%

Still no word? They sure are taking their sweet time.

acceptance rate last year is more than 20% actually. Christa (smilefriends28) you're a dork! lol

AEM acceptance rate:
19% - Class of 2008
20% - Class of 2009

Mary, don't give out my name... and... on a more informative note, last year, most ppl didn't find out from cc about AEM till March 31.
