<p>Which prompt have you guys picked for the supplemental essay? I like the ones about literature and self-fulfilling prophecies!</p>
<p>^I used the science prompt. Partly because stereotypes/literature are already central ideas in my Common App essay.</p>

I chose the last prompt, about perseverance. (Topic overused, I know.)</p>
<p>So I was gonna maintain a dignified silence, but in keeping with my heart-on-my-sleeveness:</p>

<p>Whoever mentioned engineering should be aware of the fact that Amherst doesn’t offer engineering. It’s a wonderful school, but no engineering major. If you’re interested in engineering, check out Swarthmore.</p>
