^^LOL
If only life were so simple!!!!!!

If only the adcoms were in love with upstate ny...
we have squirrels! and mountains! and snow!
haha. What a crazy admissions system that'd be.

skunk, I'm not sure where you heard that Amherst hasn't admitted a Nepali in 8 years, but that is most definitely false. It's been almost that long since there hasn't been a Nepali enrolled at Amherst.

And the Director, not the Dean, of Admissions was in SE Asia. The Dean of Adm. is man, Tom Parker.

What about Boston? We have...squirrels, pigeons and lobsters.

lobsters, I think you'll get a plus for that one.

haha, I hope so. I <3 lobsters.

Did everyone get an email asking that they check ACDATA?

yup - although i've already been checking it for the past 2 weeks, lol.

Well... in prague we have....pigeons! Oh, and deer and wild boars in the country side! Come on, everyone loves wild boars!! I'm going to consider that my hook :)

catfish's post just goes to show the extent of my delusion. :D
danielcarp, i think your question had been answered.:D:D

Kristina, ever been to Nepal?
wild boar- wow! i love them, especially the hair.:)

I've never tried lobsters :(

Iguanas and armadillos (we call them garrobos and cusucos, respectively) are fairly common animals in Honduras, especially in the rural areas. I've also heard they are delicious, though I've never had the pleasure... but people who have lived in pueblos say they're quite nice.

" Oh, those Hondurans like to eat reptiles. Let's admit danielcarp!! "

P.S I bet it sounds funny to hear an American pronounce "garrobo", because the 'r' is pronounced much stronger in Spanish than in English. :D

piratemonkey, Just returned from Prague. Has to be one of the most beautiful cities ever! Want to go back.

Skunk, nope, never been to Nepal. Why? haha

ejr1, wow, really?!! That's so cool! I LOVE it here :) What brought you to Prague? Did you walk across Charles Bridge (because if you didn't you fail as a tourist :) )? The weather is beautiful today so it's a shame you had to go back :(

My D is doing Study Abroad, and I met her in Europe to spend Christmas with her, and family. We drove to visit family in Germany, then decided to see Prague, since we had never been. And of course, we walked across Charles Bridge, not once, but a few times, since we didn't have a car and walked all over. The weather then was very cold, but sunny. Then, we drove to Poland to visit family and sightsee there, as well. Want the recipe for bread dumplings, though. D and I loved them!

Amherst just lost my SAT score reports! They claim I never sent any. Now I hv to quickly to send another (:

good luck to everyone! I am an international applicant asking for aid....
its so hard..

Hi everyone! I'm new on this forum, but I just finished reading all the posts on this thread and I have to say - you guys are pretty downright amazing! I especially loved the discussion on literature and wished I had discovered this forum earlier so that I could've participated in it. (I'm currently taking Existentialism as a class, btw.) I really hope that all of you will get to attend Amherst next year and that somehow we'll all become friends. College will then be AMAZING, indeed.

:) So you're at the revered school now?
