Official Amherst Regular Decision Thread

I want to be able to speak German too. actually i could speak perfect german when i lived there for 2 years at the age of 8! I was a cartoon maniac and spent the summer vacations watching 6 hours of German cartoons everyday.
But then i came back and forgot it all now all i remember is dankeshurn and gutenacht.

danielcarp- i really dislike coelho too. I read Alchemist when there was so much fuss about it and then read Vronika decided to die- his books seem to be written for the sole purpose of attracting attention- they make no sense and i can't find a message in them.

Dan Brown went to Amherst!

I'm from Boston! I've been to "Praha" both on family vacations and on orchestra tours. I love that city. I like PEI too, but Newfoundland is more interesting, IMO.

Prince Edward Island...that's where Anne of Green Gables is from. Ah, my childhood.

Ok, update on the login situation: they kept trying to send it and it kept not working so I had to talk to tech support. I do have it now. Isn't ACDATA so well-organized?!

I'm not really a fan of ACDATA, all the info they have could fit on one page, I think it's kind of annoying that you have to go to different pages.
But yeah, it is impeccably well organized.

Ha, that's why I like it; the extreme organization and separation of info. I am also OCD central. And I like the purple. A lot. Why can't it be 4/1?

Haha I'm majorly organized too, so I'm not sure why I don't like it. But yeah, purple's fabulous.
It can't be 4/1 because then we'd have to skip St. Patrick's Day, and I need to march in my last NYC parade...sorry :-P

4/1 is the day we hear from most schools and two weeks before my birthday. I wish it could be 4/1, badly!

yeah german is an interesting language but i find it's less useful than French or Spanish unless you live near Germany/Austria.

Wait, so what date are the decisions being released?

Aabar, go harass another school. If you're going to Midd, why do you need to read/bother the AC page?

i wanted some opinion whether it would look wierd if i ever mailed the admissions office asking them something i need to know and then include why i would love to go to Amherst? there's a lot i can write as it is...

Pirate, they are mailed (i.e. the postal service) on 4/1.

What about internationals? Do we get emails?

I'm guessing no.

Actually, I think you do but probably not until later in April just in case you didn't get your mailed copy like everyone else. You could email and ask.

guys, I'm applying to Amherst too.:D
And I really hate Coelho.

On the day they send out the decisions, you have to send them an email and "remind" them that you're international. They'll send you your decision via email then.
