I took the exam today too, I'm not even taking AP Bio though, just Anatomy and Physiology and Genetics class (that are supposed to prepare us for the AP Bio... but don't entirely--they leave out a lot of plant stuff). I BSed a lot of #3... had to think back to 3rd grade Bio, lol. the other FRQ were alright and I left probably 7 or 8 MC blank... problem got 2/3 correct?... not sure. I actually put incorrect info for number three, lol, the part c of 3, and some minor incorrct info for parts a and b. Oh well, I was gonig for some inadvertant points, lol. A few of the labs my class just did recently were on the test, so that was cool. Can't wait to discuss free response and get my grade back.

Yay, my girlfriend just got a 30 on the ACT and a 9 on the writing... now she'll get into my college (I'm a senior and she's a junior), or one near me... or atleast have the pick of most of the colleges that she wats to go to :-P ! W00t! Everyone celebrate with meee!! puts on party hat

Congratulations, werd814. :DDDDDD

I thought it was amazing!!!!!

MC was definately not the hardest one yet. (1999 was much easier, though...) Omitted 7, probably got around that amount wrong also. Maybe a few more.

The essays. Were. Amazing. The lab question was insanely rediculous... Second one was just as simple. 3rd required a little thought back to my WORST subject evereverververever.... but still pretty easy. Fourth one I flucked up part a. But other than that, still think I can get at least 9pts.

Someone asked what the average for the essays were? My teacher informed our class that most kids get around a 4 or 5 on the essays... give or take 1 point.

So don't worry... seems like everyone in this room was well prepared and probably got higher than the average.

Personally, I think the MC curve will be very generous. I think there was a lot on it that most classes didn't cover... my teacher is a psycho woman and covers anything and everything that pertains to biology. (Just imagine her tests!! =O)

you can BS to an extent, as long as u know some vocab that's relevant to throw into your essays and can help score u points

i thought the essay questions were waaaaaaaaay easier than the mc... and it happened that i was studying all night and at 6 am i studied what was on the 3rd mc question and i studied the stuff that was on the 4th essay question when i was studying for sat 2 bio. anyways i hope i get a 5....i'm only worried about my mc questions.... totally screwed over the last ones and i only was able to go through about less than 1/4 of the cliff notes book and didn't get a chance to do the practice test in there :(

but im hoping that maybe my guessing skills and essay questions will make it a 5

i've bs'd all my essays, in the sense that i don't know if i'm totally right, but i just recall some vocab, and just try to make a logical argument and try to recall as much information as i can and write it down.. as long as u got the write terminology, u'll get points regardless

Wow that test was interesting......

Lets just say I spent more time asleep than I did on the actual test. The essays were err.......something else......

Essay 1 was ridiculously 2nd grade compared to essay 3 and 4. I did BS a lot on essay 3 as well. It seems that many of us did that. Basically, the concensus in my class was that it was harder than expected. The MC wasnt THAT hard but it was definately harder than the SAT II. I dont know...i was pretty tired after taking AP American, SAT Bio, and SAT History. I couldnt wait to just leave, but the test ****ed me off. The FR asked the most retarded questions; we never even mentioned mosses in class...thank god i read about them like yesterday lol. But in general, I was not happy. I cannot make any predictions about my grade. Considering the fact that i studied a lot.....i read the entire review books. I skipped 4 MC. Uhhh, whatever, its all over.....now all i gotta worry about is SAT for June and getting into ED Cornell University :)

did anyone actually use most of the writing room? i had a page and a half left on almost all the essays

"It seems that many of us did that;" speak for yourself, please.

Yes, i had a lot left..i was like...wait...am i doing something wrong...y is each of my essays like 2 pages....yup, ur not the only one

ok...ivyleague w.e, u dont have to be an arse ok...i was just reading entries and it seemed many did that...jeez...some ppl r so......arrogant

Well, the essays I thought were easy--maybe one mistake, which I'll bring up in two days. I thought they were easy, and each of my essays were two pages and that's all one needs (quality vs. quanitity). I feel so much more confident about this test, and getting a high score--maybe I was in the zone. On the other hand, I made the dumbest mistakes on my SAT II biology--ugh. I really hope things work out for me.

Essay 1 was just immensely easy....2 as also good, 3 was fine, but the ************ aspect of an *****, which i was obligated to write about....that took a little BS.....4 was also common sense.

Better? :)

ooooooo you talked about the questionnnnnnn... but i dont care.

i kinda bsed number 4... but i did remember enough to write extensively aboiut it from sat 2 bio studying

HAHA....sorry, i changed it.....lets be "legal"

we're all gonna get 4s and 5s...

That was pretty ok....MC was ok...but ODD. lol
Essays 1 and 2 were easy. 3 and 4 was moderate.

Expecting: 3 or 4...

amnesis: lol...in the words of IvyLeagueorBust......, speak for yourself (i dont mean that, just trying to show how arrogant people can be)

amnesia...lol, sorry, that was meant for u....amnesis? wat is that...still thinking in synthesis terms....oy....

i feel like u didnt have to really know anything to answer the mc.. not saying they were that easy but like they werent on anything or asking for specific info about anything... we learned so much and they asked so little :(
