this guy next to me wrote his whole FR in pencil. is that a zero?

It says (and they tell you) that you should do all of your work in pen, but I don't know if they'd not read your work if it's in pencil...

lol you have so much... lmao my stats are pathetic compared to those

i think u can pay them to read it. thats how it worked for the SATs when my friend accidentally wrote her essay in not number 2 pencil lead. she had a 0 for her essay cause it didnt register but she paid them to read it and score it after she realized what happened

ha wut the colleges with the highest suicide rate?

i kno one is MIT where i wanna go lol

Well, a lot of ppl here on CC have amazing SAT's, im prob gonna be in the 1300s, and thats it. People have like 98 avgs and 12 AP's. They have like num 1 rank.

well my stats are up there in the academic section but i have little else for extracurriculars (which i think will hurt my apps) except for vars in track and cross country :/

I'm looking at Penn ED (Wharton School of Business). I thought if we were on the topic I may as well share.

LOL. ye, im actually thinking of starting like a permanent Junior--> Rising Senior thread for us to discuss all this stuff through the next few months

how does the AP Bio questions corrolate to the SAT II Bio questions?

I;m taking SAT II's in June but I feel very confident about the MC of the AP exam. Should I prep at all or just sit on my butt.

sit on yur butt but review some

I just took the SAT II for Bio on Saturday, and I'd say it correlates pretty closely. The AP m.c. is probably a little trickier, and some questions are based on more detailed aspects of Bio, so I guess the SAT II is a little bit easier overall. I think I actually would have done a little bit better had I finished the Cliffs book before I took the test, because things like "passive immunity" I hadn't gone over, yet, and that way I wouldn't have had to make an educated-guess.

Anyway, I'd continue to prep for the simple reason that you will forget some details if you don't look at Bio for a month. Assuming you used the CliffsAP for Bio, just go through that a little bit until the test.

Last year I took the SAT II for Chem in June, but I wish I would have taken it in May. I didn't really do any Chem all throughout May so I ended up forgetting a little bit and getting a 720, whereas I think I could have gotten at least a 770 if I had prepared a little bit throughout May, or at least the week or so before the SAT II.

i like that i originally joined this site to try to cheat on the Ap biology exam, because i was desperate for a 5. when i realized that that was not going to happen, i studied my assssss off, and i think i did pretty well on the exam.

though i won't get my 5, i would simply like to pass. :-) you're all nice people.

I'm sorry if this seems completely off topic, but I am really interested in taking AP Bio. But, how good at math do you have to be to be able to do well in the class? I'm very strong in writing and reading, but not as much in math. Could I still succeed in AP Bio? A lot of my friends have A's in the class and they aren't "great" at math, but I'm just trying to get a few opinions! Thanks! :)

We did virtually no math, besides the little probability when it comes to heredity, calculations in population size topics or evolution topics, and lab data analysis.

all you need is good memorization skills

there was math...

it was the hardy weinberg thing... remember? at first, i said oh crap i can't root a decimal.. therefore, I guessed... then i checked my work.

the only math you need (beyond the most basic of basics) is know how to square something for the hardy-weinberg equation.

heyyy, is there anyway to take the SAT II Bio exam on the same day as the SAT? Stupid college board is conspiring against me, my friend told me there's some way, but of course you have to pay extra...stupid collegeboard, everything requires money....

Seniopr attending Colby College in the Fall, w00t.
Majoring in Bio.
SATI: 1420 (680m, 740V)

I liked the AP Bio way better than the SATII (640.. eek!) I don't know why, maybe it was free response, but I liked the AP much better... #3 FR was a toughy though, I blame it on my stupid school not even having an AP Bio class... just Anatomy & Physiology and Genetics classes

Any other Seniors in here? If so, where you headed this fall?

Congrats to all you peeps who pwned that AP Bio test! I'm sure we've all got atleast 3's, and mostly 4's and 5's.
