***Official AP Calculus BC Thread 2014-2015***

@sjwon3789 Denominator equals zero makes the derivative infinity.
@kylemoreno101 Yep, that was the answer.
@JuicyMango You’d have to do 0 to w.

@JuicyMango no I had form G, my friends with form O had that question though so it’s on both. no need to panic lol

@beavergod I learned it so that the undefined function is also a critical point…

this forum makes me feel like im getting a 2 lol.

@sjwon3789 The question asked for the time it begins to overflow. I don’t know how else you’d solve for time w.

Ya I put the tangent line to position curve assuminhly as well

@sjwon3789 No, pretty sure that’s not how it works :stuck_out_tongue:

A critical point is defined as zero slope. An undefined function is a no slope.

Idk man Lol we’ll see when they release it on Thurs hoepfully

@JuicyMango 99% sure you got a 5 lol

Did anyone do the cone related rate thing? Or the region a with sin something? Those I completely guessed

Undefined points are also critical points.

Last Q then Im off to cram for Lit.
Would I still get points if I wrote the equation for the water overflowing as w(t) and the limit 0 to T instead of W?

what’d they mean by rational function of f’ (Q6)?

I love bobs bicycle one. Find a at 5 lol.

@beavergod They just release the problems. So, if everyone wants to do them again lol.

@Frigidcold My point is that, let’s say some cup is full of water (one drop will make it overflow). Will that be time t=0, or AFTER t=0? In other words, equal sign or inequality, respectively? The moment it overflows will be after t=0, when it “will overflow.”

@Dorfdude8 Exactly that, you derive the series given.

Liberal arts tests are the easiest to study for. More memorization and facts than concepts

@chocomilk123 Yep, I also got 1 for m and b.
