**OFFICIAL** AP Chemistry 2014 Thread

Anyone else get a lot of C’s, including 5 in a row at one point

No one in my class finished the free response completely. The farthest got to part A of #7 and didn’t go on. But the last 3 questions are only each worth 9% of the free response section right? So if we got the first questions down then that’s where the majority of the points are right?

@jamesjunkers yes, I was getting nervous about all the c’s towards the end of the mc

@NotreDameFan26, it wasn’t even just at the end… I kept getting C’s… Also, a lot of patterns (3 B’s in a row, for example)

Just a couple questions for MC
-Reaction with graph was first order?
-Reaction rate law worked for both mechanisms?

I feel decently about the multiple choice, but the free response was pretty outrageous.

@kakistocracy‌ Same. I felt pretty decent after MC, thinking I could potentially still get a fiver. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

@axlintz I can’t believe I’m taking the ■■■■■ bait on this one, but I’m sorry that your parents felt the need to destroy your neurology so that you could do better on an AP exam. And I really do hope that you’re trolling, honestly.

The frqs were awful. I’m so screwed.

I felt prepared but I still don’t want to wait till July for my score. Did your class have multiple test forms?

The frqs are coming out in 2 days… So…

@chemcat12‌ Yup, O and D for us

O for us. Only. I think…

@meaa7130 Oh that’s true I forgot about that. I can’t decide if that’s cool or that makes me more scared.

@spiritkoi we had O and C I think. I wonder how many forms there were. And I wonder which frq’s will be released.

I think the O form had the hard FRQ’s because the people who had D said it sounded easier than the O

What do u guys think about this years scoring range? I think the scoring this year shuld be lower cuz we are the ones that are introduced to this format for thr first time this year…

I’d rather know and be sad than not know and be worried…

@sun03250‌ I wish… But it wasn’t the case for bio

I had test form O.

Multiple choice was moderately difficult. **** the free response. Crazy difficult, but overall I felt that the test is a “better” test as it pretty much forces you to understand what’s really going on.

I just wish I had understood galvinic cells more. Thought I had it down, but like somebody else said in this thread, I left the exam thinking “what is chemistry lol?”.

They’d have to increase the curve. AP Chem used to be so much easier.

I had the O form and can confirm, it was harder than hell.

Like it was so hard my entire class just broke out into hysterical laughter once time was called.
