@PoetEnthusiast i did the same thing and i’m apparently at a 4/5 level right now. with the barron’s, not princeton
@sonpat From what my teacher told us, about a 72% gets you a 5.
@niletheriver I’ve heard rather differently. My teacher told us that 55% gets you a 5. My prep books have been in the middle, citing a 63% as the cutoff for a 5.
It should be between 61-65% for fives
My teacher said 75% is 5.
Should I get PR or Barron’s??? Someone please help me I’ve been doing terribly on multiple choice and I need good review of experiments!!!
that’s so strange most sources have been saying 68??
Don’t forget to look on the AP Chem college board website. It has a course outline with really helpful practice questions. And it was updated with the new curriculum. Good luck!
Okay, so I just took a practice Ap test, and did horrible. Literally horrible. I had a really hard AP/Dual Course Chem teacher through this entire year and I was able to uphold an A. How are you guys reviewing? Cause I’m stressing out … :((
IMO 65-67%
Anyone want to make a Google Doc? I’m going to go thru the course description and copy-paste some key points that stand out and have appeared on the practice exams. I’m not really sure how to set the privacy etc., so does someone else want to do it?
Btw, the course description is on the CB’s website.
While you can certainly make one, you cannot post it here.
It is over 70% with the new revision for a 5.
so then a 4 would be over a 60%??
Does anyone know of any cram guides or sheets aligned to the new curriculum that I could do some last second review with?
The cutoff for a 5 should be around 72% (That’s based off the released practice exam on the new format so it should be pretty close to that)
Is that for the audit exam? That seems awfully high. Chem is one of the hardest AP tests available while Stats, an easier exam, requires only a 63%.
@smargent Well CB released the actual MC of last year’s test (and FRQs but thats to everyone) so my class took that as our last test. She gave us back the conversion chart thing and it specifically shows that we need 72/100 for a 5. Whether thats for the actual last years test or from the released practice exam based off the new format I don’t know (I think its the based off the released practice though)
In short, yeah I think that’s going to be the actual cutoff unfortunately
What are you guys scoring on that released exam?
what books have good new style MC?
