Official AP Euro '11 Thread

I put Jacobins, since I thought the philosophy was liberal(left-wing) but not socialist. Conservative was my first guess, since American conservatives talk a lot about the Constitution.

Yeah, the map was easy.

Oh, and I looked up the Balfour Treaty later. Britain supported the creation of a Jewish Palestine. Got that one wrong; I answered British wanted dismembermet of Ottoman Empire.

Wait, what were the choices for the map question?

^ There were two maps, which do you mean

The one with rotten boroghs

All I remember is something about the effects of industrialization, favoring Scotland and Wales, favoring rural over urban areas, and an inequitable and corrupt system (which I chose). Can’t remember the fifth.

I think it actually said favored urban over rural, since I quickly eliminated that choice.

I guess sinohellenic is right?..

Anybody taking SAT II World?

ME! and the AP World test next week too :(

time to study! >.>

and i put Jacobinism because it was written in 1790, was gonna put conservatism because it said “posterity of our forefathers” but looked at the date x]

Also, i didn’t put any conclusions for the FRQs :frowning:
is that gonna be too horrible?

I don’t know that they care all that much about the conclusions, as long as the rest of it was good. Idk, my introduction on the 1st FRQ was sorta crappy, but it was short too, so they won’t get bored with reading a long crappy intro. They can move on to the body of the essay, which was better!

According to my AP Euro teacher, they don’t really read all of it. They skim your essays and make sure you got key points because they don’t have time to read everything. One of my other teachers said that too in the past- my AP Gov teacher sophomore year, who has been an AP Reader for APUSH, so he knows what they do. Anyways, my guess is they’ll kinda forgive the lack of conclusion if the rest of it is good since they don’t read all of it very thoroughly.

I cannot sleep! I am really upset that I forgot the 48 hour rule. I just have a bad feeling that cb spies are own cc and will use any means to find out our identities. Am I paranoid or right to be feeling this way. I would just hate the thought that all our work went down the drain b/c we forgot the rule. Has this happen to anyone?

I am glad that everyone believed they did well! Hopefully there will be multiple 5s

@collegeboundJon What’s the point? Its not like Euro has all of global history in it. I think it would be a waste of money and a Saturday imo

I wanted a Renaissance question for the DBQ not stupid Elizabeth I. I prob. got like a 3 on that because I didnt care for that era

^WOW!!! Are you serious?! You failed an DBQ just because you didn’t like that topic!!! Talk about DUMB and ARROGANT!!!

Maybe he just means he didn’t know a lot about it?
Though AFAIK no outside information is required.
Also, gender relations is a stupid DBQ question.

Hmm… patriotsredsox
Leisure time for the Middle Class?

^ What on earth does “AFAIK” stand for?

Haha, I was wondering that as well :P

EDIT: AFAIK = “as far as I know”, according to UrbanDictionary
