was it just Louis made them stay at Versailles, or were there punitive measures as well? I know that in England, the Court of Star Chamber came down hard on the nobles… did France have anything similar?
@collegeinspired I was just wondering your time management, that’s all
New Monarchs: king avoided noble power by choosing middle class for hope council
Richelieu: Used intendant system so people were loyal to monarch rather than land-based nobles
Louis XIV: made them live at Versailles
Ancien regime: death of Louis XIV let nobles reassert power
That’s all I can think of off the top of my head for France + nobles
He also took away their standing armies and tore down their castle walls, right?
You guys have any predictions for FRQ topics this year, or points of emphasis in the multiple choice section?
I know it’s kind of futile to guess, but was wondering if any of you guys know what topics have shown up a lot historically.
Very worried about this exam. Tomorrow I’m spending my morning reading the 150 pages of Crash Course I have left, and watching Tom Richey videos!
He also didn’t call the estates general (which had more of an impact on the nobility during his reign since it was vote by estate, not by head, and the clergy would often side with the nobility) and they didn’t serve in administrative positions. He picked all of his ministers from the middle class
Im gonna ditch all my classes tomorrow morning to read thru that crash course one last time
I’m also extremely worried about the FRQ’s and DBQ’s. We wrote one of each all year and the teacher didn’t grade either. I think MC will be ok though
By the way, what do I need to know from Imperialism?
well good luck guys
Same to you guys…I think I’m going to read cc again now
I have a quick question. Do you guys think this years test will be similar to the AP Euro audit exam??? (if anyone else has seen the audit exam)

How was the test?
I’m so happy with how I did. Predicting a five. I spent the morning reading Crash Course and there were some questions I would not have been able to answer if I hadn’t read it.
Did you guys have fun?
ughhhh. i felt so rushed throughout the exam that i have no idea how i did and now i just want to sleep.
i felt that chem was way easier than this
I thought the multiple choice was pretty hard. Loved the DBQ. Have no idea how I did on the essays :-/ I did 4 and 6.
I also liked the DBQ
