i did horridly yesterday. so disappointed.
spent too much time on the first passage- probably like 20 minutes…couldn’t even finish that. got frustrated and moved on. at this point i noticed i had like 30 minutes and began to get stressed out. by the time i was on the third i had ten minutes left. i was already panicked so my brain wasn’t even functioning at this point so i ended up having a panic attack. my hands were shaking, i was trying really hard not to cry, and ended up watching the ten minutes tick by. didn’t even finish guessing. can’t believe that happened. now i’ll be lucky if i even get a 3, when i should have easily gotten a 4 or even a 5.
i think i’m more mad at myself for letting myself get to that point. sigh.

@rllyrlyodd Weeelll, I don’t know. From what it sounds like, you at least got through the majority of the MCQ. If you wrote decent enough essays, you actually still have a chance of getting a 4. If you believe you have at least 50% on the MCQ and wrote decent essays (like 7’s) then there is still hope.

@capitalamerica i really, reallyyyy hope so. i keep telling myself that. well there’s no point in stressing now, i’m slowly getting over it. guess i’ll just find out in July.

@capitalamerica thank you for your help. I figured that if I got my desired score, it would be borderline anyway. That’s how all of my practice exams have been. Like, one point over the 5 cutoff. Multiple choice is my hamartia, but I like to think that I have writing under my belt. I was fortunate enough to have a fantastic teacher.

FRQs are up.

Omg while reviewing for my APUSH exam, I realized I listed a wrong fact on my argumentative! Instead of the National Defense Education Act, I wrote the Elementary and Secondary Education Act as the historical evidence of when government enforced math and science as a priority during thw Cold War!! Will I get points deducted for this??? And also didn’t put it in a letter format like it asked… I thought I did a good job, I hope I didn’t screw this up :,(

One of the other people taking the exam at my school thought the analysis was satirical. He was the only person of all 40-some kids taking it who thought it was satirical… does anyone agree?

no its a genuine letter

For the argument essay, I forgot to define creativity but I wrote why creativity is important and I answered the rest of the prompt. Would not defining creativity hurt my score a lot???

I just quickly defined creativity as the ability to come up with original thoughts and ideas in a parenthetical note. If you mention the goal of these creativity classes, then that may count as defining creativity.

What happened to the Google Doc? This thread got mentioned on the APUSH thread too. Did they really find the google doc or is it just a ■■■■■?

I’m not affected (I only saw it after it had been replaced with the “we have found this doc” text), but I hope you all don’t get your scores…

I hope you don’t get your scores cancelled. This is why I shouldn’t type things on a phone…

People can track ips from a google doc? Go figure.

I think that everyone who contributed to the doc should be fine. I imagine that it’s very difficult/impossible to track down IPs from visiting a google doc (computer science pros, correct me if I’m wrong).

On a slightly more uplifting subject, did anyone else take APUSH today? I noticed that practicing the synthesis essay really helped my DBQ writing abilities. They’re basically synthesis essays, has anyone else noticed that?

You are NOT ALLOWED to discuss multiple choice questions on AP tests. You are also not allowed to link to Google documents, because they are not “authoritative websites.” Infractions will be given, and bans to people who break the rule more than once.

“But other people have done it!” doesn’t cut it. We don’t find every violation. We rely largely on reports from users.

Was I the only one who found the argumentative essay to be really stupid? I had to try very hard not to come off as sarcastic.

Do you guys think it is OK to not have mentioned the school board on the argument essay?

I didn’t mention it at all. I don’t think they’re going to grade on nitpicky things like that. They’re going to grade on how well you develop your argument.

I may take this class next year…Can anyone enlighten me on the amount of work/difficulty?

Got the expected 5!
