*****official ap physics 2 thread 2014-15*****

Hey guys. I took the AP physics 1 exam today (I’m also taking the AP Physics 2 exam tomorrow). The physics 1 test was much easier than the practice test… Hopefully this will be the case with physics 2. Also, the same concepts that were emphasized in the practice test were emphasized on the real thing, so electricity and magnetism may be a big part of the exam tomorrow.

The exam was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Hopefully this is the case tomorrow as well.

@theboss262 Ohh EM is my favourite haha :slight_smile: Did your teacher mention the curve about physics 1? Haha just curious about it. If you liked the practice I don’t think I would have haha. Just right is probably too challenging for me. My teacher is really nice but he is kind of very bad at teaching, and no one at my school seems to know much about the exam. For those of us who are taking both physics 1 and 2 last year, are we required to take both? Some of my classmates are only taking 2 but then wouldn’t they have to take the 1 course in university? How does that work?

@sportsdude10113 Haha yeah physics 1 turned out great! :smiley: I felt that waves was a larger part in the practice exam though, and I was really worried because if there’d been a design exp. question on sound waves or something I would’ve died.

@CherryCream. He was expecting a better curve for Physics 1. He said it’s the harder of the two. Don’t underestimate yourself, anyone willing to take on both Physics 1 and 2 has to be good. I have no idea how that works. I’m taking 1,2 and C Mechanics because my teacher covered these and my University offers credit for them (E&M too, but I actually want to take that course). I guess it’s just on a University to university basis.

AP Physics 2 May 6th 2015 how are you guys preparing for that test for tomorrow

@srjsdc By procrastinating lol, evident by how I’m here instead of working. Seriously though, a good night’s sleep is probably more important than cram studying :slight_smile: Will probably read over notes tomorrow right before the exam.

@theboss262 Ohh better curve means lower % to get a 5? Or higher? Which university are you going to?

I thought this exam was easier than physics 1.

@sportsdude I didn’t like the MC but I liked the FRQs

@irkedjeboa I felt the same way, especially about the experimental design question, since it was very similar to the one in the course description.

how did you guys do #1 (form O)???

@sportsdude10113 i think i did overall worse than Physics 1 because of the MC though

@tommyeventing I don’t think we’re supposed to discuss yet but I had form O

@irkedjeboa me too. The frqs were a breeze though… I don’t think we have much to worry about though. I looked around the hall and most kids had no idea what they were doing… Gonna be a nice curve

did anybody get form C how was M/C and FRQ

long story but does anyone know how to do ap physics 2 short answer 2 from this https://secure-media.collegeboard.org/digitalServices/pdf/ap/sample-questions-ap-physics-1-and-ap-physics-2-exams.pdf

@srjsdc I had that form…I thought the multiple choice was really easy and some points and really difficult at others. The free response was pretty easy overall but I wasn’t really sure about the paragraph length response

@theboss262 only person in my school taking it lol so i had no idea; hopefully a nice curve b/c i screwed up on mc a lot
