Just thought I would make a thread so we could discuss any questions or the course itself. I know not many people take it, but hopefully this will be helpful to relieve any stress especially in April/May.

My school only offers mechanics so I’m taking that and self-studying for E&M. I’ve heard the Princeton Review is good for E&M; can anyone corroborate that?

PR is good for AP Physics. I used it to self-study AP Physics C Mechanics last year, and I’m going to self-study E&M this year. I believe that the Halliday/Resnick/Walker Fundamentals of Physics is an excellent resource for learning calculus-based physics.

Do you guys think I’ll be able to get through mechanics and e/m if I start now O_o… I pretty much HAVE TO for class registration purposes next year.

I feel that pr is better for learning the material but barrons has better practice questions. Thoughts?

@Newdle Are you starting from scratch? If so, you’ll be really pressed for time.

@skieurope I have kinematics, newton’s 1st and 2nd laws, and a few more topics done. I’ll also have a bit more from the Calc BC class I’m taking right now.

@Newdle
You would need an entire semester for E&M which means you would need to be done with mechanics by the start of spring semester.

@jimmyboy23
I actually might not need to do E/M. I’ll definitely have to do Mechanics, but I might be able to fulfill a prerequisite by doing summer dual enrollment. However, if I get into a good summer program… @_@

Test is tomorrow! Who is ready?
Are center of mass questions common on the AP exam?
@JungleJim4232 Probably? This is the E&M thread. That is a Mech topic.
I am so screwed for this test… Still studying for Mechanics
Good thing I’m not taking E&M lol

Holy crap those em frqs
Yeah the frq’s for form O were crazy difficult, especially #2.
The Form O FRQ’s were horrible. First one I got like 1/4 of it. I didn’t even get one part of the second one. Third one wasnt as horrible though. At least MC was not bad.
yeah #3 was relatively easy, but i didnt even know what #2 was asking for half the time, i was able to graph the data and do the loop rule fairly easily though.
How did you loop rule w/o current?
