Official AP Physics C Mechanics Discussion

Seems like this thread has been inactive for some time. How did everyone end up doing? I got a 5, which was higher than I expected. The curve must have been generous.

I got a 5 - I was pretty confident, though, because although I was uncertain about the torsional pendulum question, I got most parts of it right (that was the only question I was really worried about).

^ Impressive. Interestingly the only FRQ that I answered confidently was the torsional pendulum question. I barely scraped any points off the first question (maybe a point or 2, left most of it blank) and fairly sure I got less than half right on the 2nd question. I really panicked when I opened my FRQ packet.

I got a 5. Pretty surprised.

I got a 4 which was very surprising to me. Like others, the only problem I had much confidence in was the torsional pendulum. I’m just happy I got the AP credit. One less class I’ll have to take in college

I got a 4 which I think is ridiculousness. I self studied and my only physics knowledge came from taking physics B this year (I got a 3 lol.) Actually self study is a huge misnomer because I literally did almost nothing outside of taking physics B, the night before the test I went over one of the old fr and that was it.

I got at 3!!! And am overjoyed. Honestly thought I got a 1… This was such a difficult exam

Did they give points for blank answers or something? Because I left probably about half of the free response completely blank and guessed on about 10-15 MC (about 7 were blind guesses–didn’t even have time to read the question, used my lucky letter of the day)…and I got a 4. That doesn’t make any sense.

Has anyone ever rescored because a score seems to high?
(This is in jest, I’m not seriously thinking about a rescore, obviously.)

Hmm…also surprised, I got a 5- curve must have been lenient. Overall, I thought the test was fair, I just messed up :p.
