Seeing that the exam is in less than a week and there is no official thread yet...here it is!

How you guys preparing? Anyone confident or demoralized so far?

How you guys preparing? Anyone confident or demoralized so far?

Demoralized. Definitely demoralized lol. I feel like every practice test I do, I know the basics of the problem the question is asking about, but not enough to do it -_-

I’m feel a bit of both really. I feel like the MC are really easy but once I check the answers, I get some wrong that I definitely felt were right

arkie2014 - I know how you feel, I feel the exact same way. I’m going over the material in the Barrons book and I get it, but once I do any sort of practice, I just can’t do it. Its so frustrating. All I am doing is just practicing and focusing on wordings of the questions. We took a mock AP last week and I was 4 points away from a 4. I want a 4, but I don’t think I’m going to get it.

Bump! I’m worried about this exam as well…

So right. I thought I knew everything, but when I started to do problems, I just can’t get them right.

I’m in the same boat as you guys but the thing is I haven’t studied much for this ap honestly though haha. I hear so often how stats is supposed to be one of the easiest APs but honestly I think I prefer physics… Although, some of the Frq’s are admittedly easy, but once the ones with calculations and null/alternative hypothesises come up… Ohhh man.

What are you guys studying/ having the modt difficult time with before this fri??

I honestly don’t think Stats is one of the easier APs. There are sooo many ways you can go wrong when you’re doing the FR lol

On some of the FR’s on my tests, I sometimes forget to include many parts of the answer, like assumptions and parameters of a particular procedure, so I get docked a lot of points. Now that the test is in three days, I’m getting nervous. The review activity that I did in class did not help to boost my self-confidence.

At this point, I’m pretty much just going over the different procedures and tests for different FRQs. I generally know which one to use (z, t, chi-squared), but sometimes I get tripped up. I also have to remember which assumptions go with which. Finally, since I normally use the calculator, I need to go over the calculations to write down. Having said all that, I feel pretty confident.

Anyone know how difficult the test questions are compared to practice book questions?

Oh and does anyone know what the curve was for this test last year?

In my opinion, the actual test questions are a little easier than the ones in the practice review books…
@caliamy19: im not really sure what the curve was specifically for last year, but i’ve heard that you can still manage a 5 by getting at least 60% of the MC.
I think the hardest topic (so the one i’ll actually study for) in stats is by far experimental design

I’m so ready for this test. Had such a great teacher this year and made a solid five on the practice exam we took a week ago. Looked at last years FRQ’s and laughed they were so easy, I just hope it will be the same this year with no linear regression !

Linear regression will probably be one multiple choice on the exam, and it’ll probably ask about the interval formula.

As for the exam, 40% of it is inference tests with null hypothesis, so if you do well on that you’re practically guaranteed a 3.

I’m aiming for a 5, the 2nd 5 in my school’s history. I hope I can get it.

Did anyone else think the Barrons AP Stats practice book was significantly harder than the actual college board practice exams?

luked124 I kinda think that the Barron’s book is easier on the FRs and harder on MC. I don’t know, maybe you should do a statistical analysis ;)

Anyone have the old released frq with the answers?

[AP Central - The AP Statistics Exam](<a href=“Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board”>AP Statistics Exam – AP Central | College Board)

They’re all here.

TI-84 plus silver edition. It’s the ones we’ve been using at my school since 8th grade.

anyone know where I can get the released exams?
