For #3 how did you get the margin of error

And yeah I rejected the Ho. I used GSOCS for #1 but what did you guys put for #1 part b/c on why you pick each corp.

The mean was higher
And for C, the range was higher and that everyone got a raise, unlike the other corporation.

For number 6 i got method 1- method 2- method 1- method 1

I’m pretty sure that you can use either in that case.

@Jacobanshee
What case?

3: 0.06 for the initial ME, but 0.03 for the second sample

@Jasondinh1 yeah thats what i got too!

I actually think the only things i got right were #1, #6 partially and #2 thank god i did well on the mc

would it still be right to say that the iqr was higher for A so a larger percentage(50%) would have a higher average salary than B?

My teacher told us yesterday that they accept either 2 proportion z test or test for homogeneity for questions with two proportions. I’m looking for some previously released ones…

GUYS, WHY WAS IT NOT A TEST OF HOMOGENEITY?

For #5, what did you guys put for part b, graph 1 or 2 and why

@APmaster007

2 proportions given
Kind of logical.

@MrWiggles : how did you answer part b of this question, it basically said asked whether the CI provide convincing evidence that the proportion is 0.2 ?

Graph 2, because if it was graph 1, then you could only get the two groups in either higher or lower. You couldn’t put the same.

Not really. If anything it wanted a test of homogeneity. It was counts of data.

3-4-5 for frequencies?

What was the mc, when it asked about the mean and sd.

Was the answer 7 mean, and sd 12 or 16?

@Jasondinh1 i said no, because the new interval was .15 +/- .03, so .12 to .18, and this does not include the proportion. so basically what happened was you increased the sample size, but the point estimate (.15) remained the same and there is now less variability so you can get a more accurate estimate. And with this more accurate estimate the proportion (.2) was not included in the confidence interval
