Thanks all!

The Feminine Mystique by Becky Whatshername

Lol^ Betty Friedan. No points for you

Betty Friedan! Know her, she will definitely show up as a multiple choice.

Also Cycguy: TRANSCENDENTALISTS WERE NOT HIPPIES AT ALL! Transcendentalism was a movement in the 1830s/1840s, whereas hippie culture didn’t come about until the 1960s. BIG BIG BIG DIFFERENCE, transcendentalism was in response to the religious fervor of the 2nd Great Awakening as a way to look to nature for reason, while hippie culture was a counterculture of the 60s that was a result of the gap between generations and also the introduction of crack as a cheap alternative to cocaine.

crack wasn’t invented until the 1980s…([Crack cocaine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Crack cocaine - Wikipedia)). Instead, hippies used drugs like LSD, ecstasy, and marijuana. If a question is about hippies, stating that they are (were) recreational drug users. Saying that they used crack, however, is factually inaccurate.

Also know Ida Tarbell and Ida B. Wells. These two confused me last year lol.

Important Supreme Court Cases besides Plessy, Marbury, Brown, and Roe?

I would say Charles Bridge, matt, scott, scottsboro, zenger, shenck, and… others.

^^^^ are you kidding me?? there are so many more, especially from the 1800s.

What do you think the cutoff for a 5 will be on the AP Grading Scale? Will a 5 on each of the essays and 65 out of 80 MC be enough for a 5?

[AP Pass - AP Us Calculator](AP U.S. History Test Score Calculator - AP Pass)

monepo I’ve used that source I was just wondering if you guys think the scale will shift substantially this year.

There won’t be as many supreme court cases as you would think. The big ones (Marbury, Plessey, Brown, Bakke, Roe, Nixon) will all be hit. Others that could potentially be hit include: Dartmouth, Wabash, Munn, Northern Securities Company, Texas v. Johnson

There is no way to tell before the test. Any shifts in that scale depends on the results of the questions. If people did on average worse than the last year students, then they will be more lenient.

But that should be a good indicator as to where you may lie.

Off the top of my head: brown vs board of ed , us vs korematsu , ex parte milligan , dread Scott, commonwealth vs hunt. Others have been said. Know brown!!!

LOL. I just took my 3rd practice test this week and for the 3rd time I got a score of 44/80 on the MCQ. I took a princeton review practice test and got a 51, then I took the 2nd princeton review test and got a 44. Then I took a practice test from some year, in class, and got a 44, and now I just took the 06 test…and got a freakin 44. I was getting 30s earlier last month so it looks like my studying has paid off. If I can get the same score I’ve been getting, and get 4-5s on the essays, I think I can pull off a 4.

Btw, does anyone have any last minute studying ideas? I’m thinking about just going over this for about an hour

@lakersince95 >.< I keep getting the same score too… It’s so frustrating >…< I keep getting 48… Literally have gotten it 3 times. The same EXACT score. Lol.

And it only puts me in the run for 4… Not to mention the real thing IS gonna be harder than these practice tests >…<

I wanted to hit 55 :(

@Matugi It wasn’t? I knew Vanzetti and Sacco wasn’t, but I thought scopes was. :p

And I was thinking court cases in general ^.^
