Pageant is a great book. It makes US history so much more interesting. I read the book and didn’t study and got a 5.

I liked REA and found it better than Pageant

KneeRidge-yes return REA and get DH. DH is all you need if you are in a class, if you were self-studying i would say get both.

This is my first US History class since eighth grade! School starts really soon!

Does anyone have some example intro paragraphs that have a thesis that has groups of analysis. I’ve been struggling to write a strong thesis. By groups, I mean that politically, socially, and economically are too vague.

Jazzy if you PM me I have a great strategy for writing a thesis.

I’m an APUS teacher and happy to help if people have questions, I had a 100% pass rate on last year’s exam.

As for Silas Deane, my guess is you’ll be reading from After the Fact pretty soon, which is a great book - the intro chapter is on the curious case of Silas Deane, and as you read you try to figure out “what really happened.” It’s not bad at all, no worries.

I’m taking honors USH, but there’s no APUSH offered at my school, so I’m self studying it on the side. (:

Wait I’m confused… I’m definitely getting the DH book, but why is the AMSCO book so expensive??? And the REA and the REA Crash Course are two different books, so which one is better so I can decide between these 3???

Apparently REA Crash Course is better than just REA.

Anybody didnt start school yet? I didnt. my summer doesn’t end for a couple of hours

^I have been in school for 3 weeks now -_-.

I do find it a little unfair schools that start 3 weeks early get a head start, but I guess that’s what summer assignments are for

Can anyone give a definitive answer to my question??? I really want to know so I can order the books this week…

Any opinions on REA or REA crash course?

If you want a lot of detail and good practice tests get the regular REA. There you go.

But doesnt AMSCO do that anyway??? Which one would be the best in conjuction with DH and AMSCO?

why do you need all of these review books…
most people are fine with amsco or direct hits, let alone both

because my teachers pretty bad so im going to need the best books possible in order to basically self-study the course
