Where are all of you guys? We did the ENTIRE Revolutionary War yesterday and are now comparing and contrasting the Articles of Confederation and the Constitution.

Ahahah we’re at Proclamation of 1763.

We’re in the Jacksonian era

Yeah, we just finished Era of Good Feelings (it felt good to finish it…pun intended)

Anyone know any good sites that can help understand some of the topics in Ushistory?? Besides prep books. ??

We’re in the war of 1812.

We’re testing on Jacksonian Era on Wednesday.

My class is also in the war of 1812 (well, we covered it today and now we’re done with it).

I found the whole AMSCO book on their website.

Full thing in PDF form free.

^ Thank you for that.

Has anybody learned the full rubric to earn the expanded core in APUSH DBQ? My teacher does not inforce essays at all, which surprises me, so I wanted to kick butt even more. I know in AP Euro they said “uses ‘majority’ of documents” which is 60%, but what about for APUSH?

We just testing on the unit from forging the constitution to right before the Jacksonian era, and we finished ch. 13 of the American Pageant yesterday. We’re now moving into the western expansion and population stuff (stuff not about the government and not necessarily chronologically heavy stuff)

Oooh, the Pageant. What a book.

We’re on chapter 17 on the Pageant (woot!)

We’re on chapter 10. Pre-Civil War stuff.

Our APUSH is split into two years (soph. and junior), so we’re just finishing up World War I now. Dunno how to feel about this Wilson fellow.

Just finished chapter 24 in the Pageant.

We’re on Chapter 17 in the Pageant! ^ Your class is so ahead!

Yeah we’re in Chapter 21 - it feels like we’ve been racing through the book. Our teacher says that she wants to finish early so we can review at the end before the AP :o.

I have my first big essay due tomorrow (we have page long writing responses every week, but this is different). I’m really annoyed at it though, it’s about the Arab Spring… we’re learning about the Civil War. I really don’t feel like writing it.

In other news, my class uses American History: A Survey and we have to finish reading chapter 14 for tomorrow. It’s the second to last chapter in the first volume (because I have the paperback) and it’s about the Civil War itself.

My classes is so behind, we just finished the Monroe Doctorine, awesome. That’s what we get for having two weeks so school for because of power outtages
