<p>I sent mine in the 11th of April. I had some reasons but none too big I guess. I got a job (my boss, the chairman for the Berkeley Alumni Scholarship, wrote me a letter of rec), organized one of the largest events in school history (we got about $1000 in profit), and a lead role in the school's spring musical.</p>
<p>Oh wow, the 11th of April. It seems as if they're releasing all of them soon. </p>

<p>i have a theory that for the appeals if your numbers (SATs + GPA) is not even like sub-stellar (under 2100/4.0 ?), what you got to say on your appeals wont even be considered...</p>

<p>yea, she has been wanting cal for 6 yrs. ever since i met her last yr, shes always talked about it. i feel sooo bad she didnt get in & i did... i had my heart set on ucla.. which i didnt get in but whatever. she's even considering msjc to still try & go.</p>
<p>she said her appeal was kind of hard to explain... but she said she brought up things they may have overlooked. how she went to 3 high schools (which would be seen on her app), her dad was never around, & she's first generation (seen on app too i think)</p>
<p>honestly, i didn't think that was convincing enough but i crossed my fingers for her anyway.</p>
<p>I wonder how cold-hearted those admissions officers are... :( They must be robots or something.</p>
<p>my best friend sent her appeal letter the 8th and she has not gotten anything yet. So that's a good sign I guess. hope she gets in.</p>
