im pretty pleased i wish i could have gotten 1 more science question right for that 35 to make me feel good about my self, but i know that won’t make a difference in admission so im happy

Does anyone know when we can expect Writing scores to be posted?

Composite: 34
English: 36
Math: 30 (haha…)
Reading: 35
Science: 35

I’m so happy! I didn’t do nearly as well on the SAT (only 2080) so I am so relieved…thank you ACT! To be honest, I’m really shocked that I did so well on the Science section because I didn’t have time to read the last two groups of questions and had to make educated guesses on all of them. I didn’t even study at all for the entire test either, haha.

Does anyone know if colleges view your breakdown, or just your composite score?

Composite: 36
English: 36
Math: 35
Reading: 35
Science: 36

I took it twice before and got 34s (early sophomore year and once state mandated) but neither with the essay. I took it for the essay section, but needless to say, even if I failed the essay, I’m happy. Only prep I did was one science practice test because I completely bombed it on the state mandated ACT (31 /w other sections 35)

Time to finally take the SAT…

M: 36
R: 32
S: 32

when checking, i kind of ignored the composite score and went straight to the section scores. i saw 36, 36 and got pretty excited… and then i scrolled down :(

pretty happy, the only studying i did was a few science questions the day before the test. i studied a lot for the sat and my act is comparatively higher…

@argenia - WHOAAAAA WE GOT THE EXACT SAME (34 Composite, 36 English, 34 Math, 33 Reading, 32 Science)! And my mistakes were in elementary algebra, too! Haha I just thought that was pretty cool. ;-)

Composite-30
English-33
Math-28
Reading-32
Science-25

I’m so happy! A 30 composite was actually my goal! I know it’s kind of crappy by CC standards, but whatever.

I’m really surprised with my reading score. It’s usually one of my worst ones.

36.
E36, M36, R36, S35
very unexpected; i’m extremely happy.

if you are curious, i got a 2310 on my SAT earlier this year w/ a breakdown of M780, CR750, W780.

For the ACTs, I didn’t study as much as for the SAT, but obviously there is some degree of similarity. Personally, I thought that the SAT was a harder test, but graded on a kinder curve. I did all the tests in the Red Book for the ACTs and actually never got above a 33 because I had a lot of trouble with the English section and made a lot of stupid mistakes. I think that studying helps but being relaxed and confident are very important as well.

Best of luck to you all!

Is anyone else having trouble logging on? I forgot my password so I had them send it to me via email but It’s been a long time and I haven’t gotten the email. I’m so frustrated. I want to know what I got!!!

Composite: 28
English: 33
Math: 28
Reading: 27
Science: 25 (I hate science so much…lol ;D)
Combined (9 essay): 31

p.s. congrats to the 36 ^ !

Derek, my daughter’s writing score was displayed online right under the 4 main subscores and composite. Simultaneously, she received her hardcopy scores in the mail today, and the writing score (and brief feedback on her essay) was there, too.

Keep checking. It should show up soon.

Jamezz, colleges will see your composite plus the subscores that make it up.

is the essay score included in the composite score?

Did anyone order the Test Booklet and Answers for this exam? I could trade any of many different dates of ACTs, SATs, APs, PSATs, etc for the test booklet from this exam. PM me if you have it.

First time, with one practice test.
I am going to retake in June with lots more studying and practice tests. How realistic is a goal of 30 or 31? What would you guys recommend in order to improve this score?

Congrats to everyone who is happy with their score!

shepherdp, the essay score is NOT included in the composite.

It is shown separately (for example, Writing: 9 out of 12), and then it is ALSO averaged into a separate score called “Combined English/Writing,” which is just that. They take your English score plus your Writing score, and create a new, separate score. But neither the Writing nor the Combined English/Writing scores get included in your composite.

when do we get the writing score?

Some people have it, some dont. Usually 2 weeks after you got your ACT scores.
