good luck everyone!

english- 29
math- 35
reading- 34
science- 33

composite- 33

cant believe i did so bad on english, deciding whether or not to take it again

I achieved my goal (or at least my realistic goal, not my imaginary fantasies of getting a 35-36)

ACT Composite: 32
English 35
Mathematics 32
Reading 33
Science 26

I'm disappointed to see how much the Science raped me though....If I had gotten a 29 (my expected Science score), I would have had a 33.... My Math score wasn't too surprising...Usually I'm good at math (34-35 range on practice tests), but there were a couple that I really just didn't know...I'm so happy with my English and Reading! They increased 3 and 4 points respectively from my last test...

^ i think this way is for free...they are not charging everyone until the website is ready to go. It is not ready to go yet and this link will let you view your scores. You still have to enter your Credit Card number but I dont think they will charge you yet.

***There are technical problems as the ACT told me and so the score you see may not be yours. This is a way to view it and ACT does not know about it.

32-English
28-Math
34-Reading
33-Science

Composite: 32

I'm going to college for free, now!!!

Whoops....I guess I'm not so good at math...Would have needed a 30 in the Science to get a 33...but even that is easily doable.... I really just need to learn the trick for doing well in the Science....(Believe it or not, a 26 is an INCREASE over what I got in the Science the last time)

How was the curve?

English - 34
Math - 31
Reading - 36
Science - 34

Composite : 34

I'm pretty happy with my scores, although I thought I would have done better on Math; A 36 on any section makes me all tingly and warm inside.

Do a lot of colleges look for an ACT score? I thought that the SAT was usually what counted more.

excel... you said the score might not be yours? i checked at like 12:00 EST when you posted the link, but that score might not be mine? should i recheck(having to pay another 8$) or call them?

Neb and others with high science scores

What is the trick??? Did you use a particular practice book? My science score continues to bring my composite down.

i dunno i got a 33 on science but i never practiced or anything i just took the practice act booklet that my school gave us

Jlauer95,

I didn't use a book at all for the ACT, although I did work with a tutor for a few hours on it. In those sessions, we didn't go over any particular strategies but I developed my own for Science. I go straight to the questions, and then refer back to the data. Most of the questions are asking you to interpret a graph, and at least for me, I wouldn't be able to really understand the experiment if I tried to anyways. I just went straight to the questions, used the graphs and data, and built my understanding of the experiment up that way.

katho: Where will you be going to college for free?

In Alabama, I can go to U of A and Auburn for free

neb (and others) Thanks for the advice.....

I've got to get the science section under control. My science score is embarrassing!

ACT Composite: 32
English 35
Mathematics 32
Reading 33
Science 26 (An increase over last time) LOL

big --- ACT and SAT are supposed to "count" the same by colleges -- only one or two won't accept ACT. Frankly, I think the ACT is a better sign of intelligence --- with the exception of the science section LOLOL.

I haven't gotten my scores back yet (don't have the credit card # on me), but consistently scored 35 on the science section on practice tests. What I do is immediately look at the first few questions as they tend to be reading graphs/charts. These are fairly easy as all you have to do is look at the correct chart line or point on a graph. The later questions can be harder; I refer back to the background passages. These usually contain the answer to questions you might not get at first. You have to read quickly and efficiently to score well on the science section, however. Just practice reading scientific texts and answering questions about them. Good luck!

if you guys found out your score via my link this morning...I would go ahead and double check it by calling th ACT people and confirming you scores.

what do you mean...
