Official April 8th ACT Scores

I got a 10 but i think i wrote about 2 pages even (not really sure, can't remember), but i thought the prompt was straightforward. The essay doesn't count towards our overall score anyway though, right? And where can we see a copy of what we wrote? I think i read somewhere that colleges can request to see the essays.

Colleges can see the essays; you can't.

Can you use the essay score for a different test? like if I got a 11 on the essay during the April ACT can it carry over in June? or do I have to do it again?

Sadly, yes; when I say a 4, 5, or 6 scores on the essay, I do mean out of 12. That's in the 2%, 4%, and 19% percentiles respectively. It's mind boggling that people who scored 34's-36's for the English and for their composites could be scored so low on the Essay.

The overall composite score isn't affected by the essay score, but apparently many colleges, particularly the more prominent ones, still lend a lot of credence to the essay score, seeing as how they require the ACT writing to be taken for an ACT test score to be accepted.

so essay scores can be put in other tests?
