Official April SAT Score Thread

No, but you'll have to rush your score report.

PSAT: 214

cr: 740
math: 710
writing: 790 (essay: 10)
composite: 2240

first time taking it.....math is usually my best section by far in practice tests (760+)....should i retake just to get that up or is it not worth it? I'm happy with the other two.

I really had a bad day i guess. I got the worst section scores I have ever gotten for all the sections:
Math-750
Writing-700 (68MC, 10 Essay)
CR-650

How the hell did I get a 650 reading or the 68 MC. Hopefully, nextime I can really improve.....

Has anyobdy improved a 2100 first test to around a 2250+ second test? If so, how?

bump the post above me (er, the last question of the post above).

like most of you, i'm pretty sad/****ed about my score too.
i took my PSAT and got a 224 PSAT score w/78 in writing. Missed like, 6 total.

Now...
2160 SATs. if i cracked a 2200, i would've atleast been like, "eh, honorable attempt" and had some confidence but 2160?! 11 on essay (heh pretty happy about that) and 67 in MC to get a 700 in writing; 700! how?! sniff I thought maybe a 700 in CR but in WRITING with all that grammar? oh how did this happen!?! howls in pain

plus, man, i got a 720 in math, which is my best subject by far. ugh, its so lame. i feel so incredibly stupid. stupid....arrrrggg i dont want to retake, but now....i guess i have one more chance to crack 2300. Ughhhhhhhh. Angrrrrrryyyyyyy.

do retakes look bad?

wow my cr is beyond embarassing...

composite: 2130
CR - 610...hmmm this needs work

Honestly, if you think you can do even a LITTLE bit better, you should definitely retake. Even though colleges say don't take the SAT more than 3 times, if you sincerely feel like you can go from a 2000 to a 2300 from the 3rd time to the 4th time you take the test, then more power to you.:)

690 MATH (ahhhhhh so close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
660 CR (mehhh- thought i did better than this =()
720 WR (10 essay) - satisfied I guess considering the ridiculous curve

Total:2070
I guess for the first time it isnt too bad.......but I really wanted 2100+ ..soo close!!! I guess I will have to take the May Exam (urggggg)
Oh crap! I just found out its the day after the AP US exam (dies)

BOO YA!!! I got a 12 on the essay!!! :-D

=( .................

My other scores suck....lol, just wanna to say I did something well.

I'm going to personally find some of you and hurt you.

OMG, 2190 retaking!!! Please give me a break.

CR 660 (I could have done so much better on this one.)
M 610 (Meh, I could've done better.)
W 570 (I screwed up on the essay. I definately could've done better.)

So about 1840. Pretty good for my first time.

ON THE REAL:

First of all, i think S.A.T. scores are personal.

Secondly, 2100+ scorers whining about how bad they did and how dissapointed they are? Honestly if you got like a 2200 and have the audacity to complain then the S.A.T. should be the least of your worries....

2020... not too good
that is OK, i expect worse but it went down from PSAT and my CR score was horrible (630) ... I was really happy with my math score, as I broke 700 for the first time (never did in practice tests)

not terrible but kind of disappointed.
im told i shouldn't take the test more than 2 times (unless i really need to do it the 3rd time) so i guess ill be taking them in october again...

2110: 740 CR, 710 M, 660 W (10 essay)
My writing score went down 70 points from the last SAT that I took, but my combined from 2 sittings is 2220, so I'm happy. I thought the writing was extremely difficult this time though.

I see quite a few
OH NO! 2280. My parents are going to kill me. RETAKE!

But no

OMFG 2400!!! I need to retake.

I wonder why

The kids at my school would kill for an 1800, so most of the people on this website are really blessed with their scores. I know of kids that have scored around a 1000 (with 3 sections) on the PSAT. I'm not saying that kids shouldn't try to improve 2200+ scores, but don't be upset with those scores because they are excellent compared to the average student.

If I don't get a 2100 (+/-30points) or 1400M/V (+/-20 points) on this next one, then I'm going to cry. Seriously.

If I get a 2280 by some freak accident, I'm going to throw a party.

2100 on the SAT might not get me INTO NYU Stern(ED) or Chicago EA, but it sure as hell will keep me out of the auto-reject pile.

I got:
630CR
660M
650W with 11 essay
1940 total

I want :D
650CR
740M
740W with 12 essay
2130 total, that's more like it. :)
