**Official APUSH Scores Thread**

^Lucky…my teacher was ■■■■■■■■ and i made the mistake of starting to study 3 days before the exam.

@practical how bad was your teacher? Mine missed 3 months, didn’t do any in class review, gave us 3 essays all year, and gave us “practice” questions for our mc tests(basically our tests in a different order). Pretty hard to beat that ineptitude.

^Mine always showed up, but she did absolutely nothing. We watched videos about random stuff and then she put the notes on the board as everyone slept. It was literally like teaching myself a class. Btw, what did you get on the test?

Yeah my teacher was basically the same. I had it first period too which was like 7:20 so he was asleep. I got a 5 because I’m a huge history buff and studied my ass off. I followed the same essay formats I used for Euro except put outside info in the DBQ. I also learned more about the cold war, from Black Ops than my teacher which helped me on the essay lol.

^haha Black Ops. Yeah, I’m ****ed I got a 4 but idc at this point.

Yes! I got a 5! But then, my teacher would have been so angry if I didn’t… He was great, it’s too bad they won’t let him teach Gov next year. :stuck_out_tongue: The new teacher doesn’t know how to teach Regular US History, so my teacher has to make up for him… Anyway, what he did:

We got all the way to Clinton and then we started cramming in all the old stuff again. And he made us take like 3 practice tests the two weeks before, followed by a bunch of essays and then another complete test that he used as a final (I got like a 96% on it :D). I used the REA AP US History prep book, but I am also a huge nerd.

@practical don’t worry, a 4 is still a good grade. I got a 4 on world 2 years ago and it doesn’t bother me.

Got a 5. Our teacher gave us one practice test to take home, and he made it due at the end of the week. He took Barron’s, PR, Sparknotes, Cliffs, and College Board Released Tests from the 80’s and on, and he did this for like 12 weeks before the test so that when we got to the actual test, we had seen the same types of questions multiple times.

congrats to the great scores. Remember 3’s, 4’s and 5’s are passing and only about half the takers actually pass the exam, so no one should be ashamed of a 4 (as some of you seem to be!) Only 10% of takers make the 5 range, so to see so many of you do it is quite impressive. I guess if you’re posting on a board like this you’re pretty invested in your educational outcomes. Kudos again.

Yeah, a 4 isn’t bad, keep it up guys!

That 10% of the test takers must all be on CC.

I don’t doubt it at all.

lol, did anyone besides me NOT talk about Watergate on the Nixon dbq? That’s the only reason i’m nervous… i want a 5 BADLY. It should hopefully work out though, 'cause I got an 800 on the SAT II for us history… Oh well, it was still 6 pages long, so…

I didn’t talk about watergate, didn’t fit in with my original and sophisticated thesis.

lol I did. Apparently it doesn’t matter much.

Got a five also. Not so surprised because I got an 800 on the SAT II back in May.

A surprising 5 because I didn’t study Nixon & was zoned out when we went over his presidency in class! Yay :)

Got a 5. Was gonna freak out if I didn’t, lol

knew i was gonna get a 5.
sat us scores is 770

I’m confused. Why are some of you crying over 4’s? If you’re wanting to go to Yale or something, then tough luck because most top-tier colleges dont accept AP. 4 Is really well done, and the colleges that do accept AP usually rank 4’s and 5’s together. Do your parents beat you if you don’t get 100% on everything? Lighten up already. If you’re upset because you hold yourself to a higher standard, then theres not much higher you can go. If you really wanted a 5 then you can be dissapointed, but there is no need to cry over such a thing considering a 4 is a great score.
