Official Bard College Transfer Thread 2013

Hi everyone! Any transfers for Bard College Fall 2013? Let me know! Feel free to post your stats :)

Hey, I recently applied to Bard College as a transfer student, but my situation is a bit different: I’m a non-traditional student (gaps in education, and twenty-seven years old). Have you heard back from Bard?

@emersongarcia hello! I have not heard back from Bard but I called them and they told me they are mailing out decision letters today! I live in California so I most likely won’t get mine until later this week. Let me know when you receive yours and the decision :)

My college just sent out my transcripts today!!! Am I screwed it was their fault not mine they were supposed to be sent weeks ago this happened to transcripts going out to all of the schools I applied to I am so worried

@kevpa1 hi there! did you apply to Bard? I think it will affect your admission decision in some sense because the colleges you applied to will need to see your GPA and classes you have taken (in order to see how well you have done). Bard College is mailing out their decision letters for transfer students today so I am pretty sure they have made their decision for you already. If you would like to call, their number is 845-758-7472 . Ask for a transfer coordinator and explain your story. Hope this helps!

Hi there,

Will international transfer student be notified by mail as well? or Bard will email us the decision first?

Thanks a lot. :)

@mengzhen international transfer applicants will be first notified by email :)

Admitted to Bard! But as an international transfer student, I might receive the admission letter few days later. Since I have already completed one year of college, but probably without enough transferable hrs, I will still be a transfer freshman in Bard. Do I still have the chance to take First-year Program? Thanks a lot!

Wow awesome congrats!!! Do you mind posting your stats (GPA in college, Extra curriculars, etc)? I’m not sure if you’ll still be able to take the first year program!

@danidanitoscano thx. Have you received your mail yet? Hope it’s good news!

Oh wow well congrats! Your stats sound great. Which supplement did you choose to do? Did you interview or apply for Financial aid?

I chose the second topic, the true joy is kinda serious thing. I had great fun writing that one. I didn’t take interview and no FA.

Hi everyone! I was just accepted to Bard! I’m very excited to see who else has been accepted :)

@danidanitoscano Congrats!!!Have you decided to go to Bard yet?

@mengzhen thanks  are you planning on enrolling? I haven’t decided yet! I’m still waiting on other schools and the financial aid that comes from Bard. Have you received your FA yet?

I haven’t decided as well. But I think it’s very likely I will choose Bard! Haven’t received FA…but the enrollment due is on May 1st. There isn’t much time left to make decision.

Mines actually due May 17! What schools are you considering?

Bard due May 17?! I am still waiting for other schools. By far my best choice is Bard.

Are you guys still considering Bard, or have you decided already?

Congrats to everyone accepted; exciting times for sure! Has anyone committed to Bard and looking for off-campus housing at all? I’m down to live in either Tivoli or Red Hook (seems to be the majority of off-campus inhabitants). Let me know!
