Yeah, went ahead and emailed them the revised version of my resume, and thank goodness, they responded to me! So now I’m back to anxiously awaiting December fifteenth. :)

ugh these days are just going by soooo slowwwwwwwwlyyyyyy. Longest November of my life.

21 days and 5 hours until the decision is out! The anticipation is killing me!! I just got an email and for some reason I never sent in my financial aid CSS profile. Luckily they extended the time…

Good luck to each and every one of you ladies, I hope to be seeing you all in the fall! ;)

My GPA isn’t stellar either-- I’m relying on my ACT scores. My SAT scores were fab but I didn’t take the Subject Tests so they have my ACT. Now I realize what a stupid decision that was… Aghhhh!

I totally empathize lol It is killing me waiting for the decision, the day before is going to be the worst!

I don’t know what to do with myself. Sometimes I wake up thinking, “I’m so getting into Barnard. What am I worried about?” but most of the time i think “My essays could have been better. Why did I turn that in? My extracurriculars aren’t amazing. Why didn’t I do more?” I’m overthinking like crazy.

It has only been a little over a week since I turned in my app. D;

This waiting thing is not for me UGH THIS IS HORRIBLE.

soo apparently barnard asked for my Q1 grades…do they ask to see everybodys or just specific peoples?

My guidance counselor and I received that email too! I think it’s because it’s part of the application, since we’re applying ED they need our Q1 grades rather than a midyear report that the RD girls would need. But, I mean hey, it means that they’re aware that we’re applying, which isn’t a bad thing! I was emailing back and forth with my admissions counselor today. Between my interview, emails, and my supplements, I hope that what I’m doing makes a good impression on her, which she’ll hopefully bring with her to the committee when they decide who’s in and who’s not. AHHH. I CAN’T TAKE THIS WAITING.

I haven’t gotten a request to see my first quarter grades, don’t know how to feel about that

@swizzle13 yeah thanks for the reassurance. My friend also told me that if they ask for Q1 grades it means that a) they did not automatically discard you and b) are in fact interested in you. I could be entirely off on that but I can’t imagine why else…ugh hoping for the best!!

Does anyone know how they will give us the admission decision? Will they send an email, or do we log into the site or what?

It actually says on the applicant tracking page thingy (the place where you login with the number they e-mailed to you after your application was received) that they want mid-semester/Q1 grades from ED applicants. So I’m guessing if they didn’t ask for your grades that they already got them because your counselor sent them for you or they don’t feel that they need to see them to make an admissions decision.

Unless things have changed this year, decision letters will go out by US mail. Makes for some anxious waiting spread over a few days. International applicants get email though, I think. It must be spelled out on some web page.

hi there! I’m also applying ED. I’m an International student from Panama…I’m sure Barnard has never had any Panamanian students so I hope this helps. My sat’s are not awesome, my gpa is more in the B+ range so I am really nervous! However, my EC’s are really good and my recommendation letters were awesome! I just got the notification today that I am on the final round and will be interviewed tomorrow for a full tuition scholarship awarded by the government of Panama…so being admitted to Barnard would be a dream come true! I’m so excited!! -17 days girls! I hope to see you all next year at Barnard :D

Saludos!

wow you international girls are all so inspiring!

GUYS. I AM DYIN’ HERE AND WE’RE ONLY HALFWAY THROUGH.
every day this week i have cried at some point in the day (once in calculus, once in theology) simply about the prospect of not getting in.
so much of my happiness is invested in this dream. i will not know how to take it if i get rejected. i know this is unhealthy, but i just come from some pretty grey circumstances, and barnard is a technicolor dream.

how are you guys handling the stress (if you even can)?

Hi girls! Class of 2016 here. I applied Early Decision to Barnard last year, so I know what you all are going through. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Hi there!! Have all you recieved your Barnard tracking number? I still haven’t gotten mine! Is this normal?

Hey girls!

Only 15 days left! Ahh, I’m terrified!

I’m really concerned that it doesn’t say my ED agreement was received on the tracking site. I did email admissions and they said it’s not something to worried about unless I didn’t send it. Did this happen to anyone else?

@katethegr8 thanks for being willing to help us out!! I was wondering how long it took for you to receive your letter after the day the admissions office mailed it?
