Official Barnard Early Decision 2017

kitkatzz95 are you sure you typed it correctly? when I typed in 7 random numbers it gave me that same response?

y’all…[Barnard College Office of Admissions’s Photos | Facebook](Redirecting...)

It directed me to the same page as yours…so worried

Guys!!!
I’ve received an email from Barnard and IM IN!!
And it clearly stated just because I’m international student, I’m getting email notification(I’m American but I’m living in China now).
I’m still too thrilled to believe this and in the email they told me to put my tracking no. in Admitted Student For Fall and it shows WELCOME, ADMITTED STUDENTS, my name, and ask me to “respond to our offer of admission”
So if you guys get the same responds, I guess your in too, congrats!!
Hope this helps!

Yayayay i paid the $400 so here’s hoping it’s real

I think I got in too!!

I’m not gonna pay it yet just cause I’m very superstitious…but I don’t see how this could not be legitimate…I’m tentatively happy for now. Congratulations to dearcollege123, our first officially admitted student!!

I just got rejected…here is the letter. This is so sad… :(

The Committee on Admissions has met to consider candidates who applied to Barnard College under the Early Decision plan; decision letters were mailed today. To minimize any delay in receipt of our decision, applicants residing outside of the continental United States are also receiving decisions via email.

We appreciate your strong interest in Barnard and your desire to attend the College. It is with regret therefore, that I inform you that we are unable to offer you admission to Barnard College. Admission was highly competitive, with a large number of well-qualified applicants and keen competition for the limited number of places in the first-year class.

On behalf of the Committee on Admissions, I thank you for your interest in Barnard College, and we wish you much success as you make plans for continuing your education.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Gill Fondiller '88
Dean of Enrollment Management
Assistant Dean of the College

good luck to the rest, I hope you have better luck than mine :)

How do you know if you’re in or not? I’ve been putting my number in and it leads me to a another page informing me that that was not the online portal. What is everyone else seeing?

nycbound24 same here…

anavic: I don’t mean to make you into a guinea pig, but did the Fall Admitted Students login page work for you? I’m very sorry to hear about your bad news :frowning: and have hope that you’ll end up somewhere that you love

@anavic, you’re so thoughtful wishing us well, I’m sure you’ll end up somewhere great!

no matter what i know all of you girls will go to great schools and have a great future!!!

dearcollege123 was your tracking number a new number or the same one that you used to track your application?

I think I got in!!! II typed in my tracking number and it brought me to the admitted students page!!! Thank you Jesus!!!

Big question: do we assume the best and announce this, or wait it out for snail mail confirmation??

did they close the number entry?

monomaniameng: yeah I think they did…well at least some of us were able to check it? We’ll all get our letters soon enough. Good luck everyone!

Yeah, that’s strange. They probably found out that there was a glitch allowing people to hear early. Hopefully those of us who’ve already paid our deposits won’t be penalized in any way…
