It’s an email that Barnard sends you, and it contains a password offering you access to the first year application tracking system:
https://snowbird.barnard.edu/pls/bcapp/admission.input_cid
It says within two weeks…you should check your email wisdomsomehow~~

I haven’t received it yet :(

How long did it take for you to receive notice?

No I haven’t received it yet. I’ve got my Cornell one though and I sent Cornell two days after I sent Barnard, but I’m sure it’ll come soon. I just hope it isn’t stuffed like the Cornell one:)

No, I have my email set up so that it constantly checks itself whenever I’m on the computer and I haven’t gotten anything. I just searched all of my mail, and my most recent email that contains the word Barnard is from Dec 3, telling me that my application was successfully submitted.

I just really want to say… good luck, you guys! I know everyone has worked really hard to get to this point & I hope everything works out well with acceptance and financial aid. :)

I’m going to have to go through all of this next year & I’m super excited but also scared!

Thanks soshi!
I officially declare that I’ve received the tracking email! See below:

Me too is it normal that the dates received are like two weeks after I actually submitted things on Common App?

Me too! Thanks soshi Good luck next year!
I received my tracking email a little while ago
Have any of you finished your fafsa and css profile yet?

idk skittle rose. I think they need to process them but im not sure. :)

I finished both the FAFSA and the CSS Profile but it was sooooooo tedious.

the CSS and FAFSA are both driving me crazy!! My dad says he won’t get the 2009 tax info until jan. 25th, but Barnard wants the FAFSA and CSS in by Feb. 1. I don’t know how immediate sending the FAFSA/CSS in is, but from what i’ve seen with other colleges recieving/processing them, it can take a couple of weeks.

are you guys sending in your CSS/FAFSA with estimates or real 2009 tax info?

We definitely sent our first ones in with estimates. Don’t fret too much. They will just need your revised info ASAP if/when you are admitted.

Filling out CSS and FAFSA are tasks I absolutely HATED those four years, though I really appreciated Barnard’s financial aid. So you should thank your parents and give them BIG HUGS!!!

@sans

I used estimates because my mom’s tax stuff doesn’t get to her until the first week of Feb -____- So I figured that was out of my control and I did my best, but I will update them once I get 2009 stuff.

hey im just a junior (in high school) here but i go to a science seminar program in barnard and i fell in love with the atmosphere dere! i really want to apply there next year! i know you guys havent found out if you’re been accepted or not but is dere prephaps any advice u can give me?

@mdh625
Keep working hard and start your application in the summer so it doesn’t build up… for me, the first months of senior year were actually harder than junior year! And stay on top of other deadlines like financial aid and sending test scores in… definitely interview at Barnard :] but you have a while to go. So enjoy junior year and good luck!

Ke$ha is a former Barnard student.

Her music is terribly addicting. As in it’s quite terrible and quite addicting. I do like the full album, though, excluding a couple tracks.

Ahhh… It feels like April first is so far away. I’m so impatient!

wisdomsomehow, where did you hear that Ke$ha went to Barnard? I thought she was a high school dropout…

ugh I can’t remember where I read that she went there. I know for sure she was accepted to Barnard, though.

The NPR interview with her (I don’t know if I’m allowed to link to it, but you can find it by searching for “Ke$ha” on the NPR website) is kind of interesting, because you can see the duality to her–she’s quite smart and well-spoken, which you wouldn’t exactly expect from the artist behind “TiK ToK” and “Blah Blah Blah,” etc.

That’s really interesting! Have any of you seen this one kid (I can’t remember his name now…) on YouTube who did this really funny spoof of “Tik Tok” with all different clocks? Haha. I just thought of that now.

Is anyone here International? Does anyone know what the “CSS Foreign Student Aid Application” is? FAO just emailed me that I’m missing the thing…but it’s not specifically listed under the Application procedures for Int’ls…argh!
