Yeah I’m going up the night before and staying with my sister. Another option if you don’t know anybody is finding a cheap hotel close to campus. There’s an inexpensive Double Tree that’s very convenient to UT students and is good value for the price.
Haha yeah I hope its not another Honors Colloquium. But it’s just one day, as opposed to three. And with a smaller group. Also, I’ll be more excited to meet people this time around because it’s very likely that I’ll be going to school with some of them.

Hi,

Any idea when BHP will come out with decisions for regular applicants? Is it via the web check or will be mail separate decision letters?

Thanks!

around the end of march or beginning of april. It’ll be by mail, so you won’t be able to see it on the longhorn status site.

UZZhan,

Thanks! And what percentage of the pool do they actually interview?

How would we know??

Has anyone who applied regular gotten the interview call yet? I think they only take people they interview right? So no interview, no admittance? They send decisions by April but is there a way to know if you don’t get a call by a certain date? Recommendation person didn’t finish their part until 1/4 so how long should I give it before I know they won’t be calling?

I know of 2 girls from my school that applied and were mailed that they were not admitted to the BHP, but nothing of the affirmative side. So, no clue?

No word on interviews yet.

RewindPlayback, did they apply early?

A friend of mine applied RD and got an interview maybe a week or so ago. But who knows, it could depend on where you live, when you applied, etc.

The first girl found out a few weeks ago that she was not admitted to McCombs (or BHP, it was unclear which she meant).
The second girl found out that she was admitted into McCombs but not the BHP around a week ago.
Both are texas residents (but permanent residents rather than U.S. citizens).
Both applied regular decision, but before 2009, I think.

I found out only friday that I was admitted to McCombs, though I’m uncertain of the BHP.

Son got email today to set up interview. Very laid back tone. I get the impression they are just getting to them as they can. He got everything in 1/4.

I got an e-mail from to setup a BHP interview today as well!
(It was my only “spam” message for today)

This is greatness! God’s awesome.

Yay! Glad to hear they are emailing us. I finished my BHP application on 1/8 so I suppose I should hear from them soon?

RewindPlayback, when did you finish you BHP app?

November 25 is what they processed me as but they didn’t actually get me in the system until early December.

I submitted the additional Topic C at the last hour of the extended deadline, though.

Ok did interview last night. The BHP site says we know 6 to 8 weeks later. How long did those of you who know already have to wait?

Is it 6-8 weeks after you get all your materials in or is it 6-8 weeks after your interview? I submitted all of my stuff during early consideration but then submitted my updated test scores in january. They said that I would still be considered early but when I called them last week, they said that I was moved to the regular decision pool. This ****es me off sooo much!

They told me 6-8 weeks after you submitted all of your information.

My timeline was as follows:
By mid-October, they had received everything, including my Honors app and test scores, etc. I got contacted for an interview around late November and got my acceptance letter on December 20th. But since I applied early they could have been under more pressure to get the decisions out on time. I’m guessing everybody will hear before the end of March though because of the admitted students day on the 28th. Good luck!

Got my interview email today, so the processes is pretty scattered. Don’t give up hope! ;)

Congratulations, Shougan, I hope you’re admitted. :-)

Thanks RewindBack!

Ps. How was your interview?
