*official Boston College 2011 Discussion*

Hey guys, maybe we can have this thread where the 2011 class can ask question or get to kno each other… Maybe we can have some current students to answer questions too…

hey anybody going to eagle admitted day this sunday....i don't think i'm going to go simply because i have already visited there this summer so its basically a waste of 9 hours driving for me and my family.

I am going!!! I am flying up on saturday. I also went on campus this past summer, but it feels like it has been a while and I want to learn more and visit as much as possible to get used to it before I have to go for orientation, which is in the middle of the summer. It will feel good, because I am not taking a tour, not knowing where I am going to end up, I will look around and realize that this is my new home!!! I'm excited!

yea im going too... the only thing im upset about is the weather on Sunday... im hoping it will blow over, but it still going to be fun and informative

yea, i heard the weather is going to get really bad. but, i don't care and i am going to have fun.

I'm going this Sunday as well. Hoping visiting the campus will give me an accurate feeling about BC. Otherwise, I'm going to BU. Fun, fun, fun.

does anybody know when we get our bc.edu email adresses? i suppose when we start the semester in the fall???

im not sure wen we get it, but i hope soon... i kno that the nyu kids already got theirs...

I think your BC email address is just your BC Agora username@bc.edu and all that mail gets forwarded to your primary email address.

I read somewhere that the email will be operational on May 7th.

i went to admitted eagle day in january (EA acceptees). It was very impressive. I didnt know anything about BC until that day. Now i'm almost certain i will attend. I'm going out (live in Midwest) again on saturday for the weekend (not admitted eagle day...been there done that). I'm shadowing a current student on monday. I look forward to meeting all of you next year!!

Shawdowing sounds cool... how did u do it? did u juss call and ask them for 1?

yeah. you could call the admissions office, and/or you could look online. the shadow thing is around 4 hours long with a current student. i'll let you all know what the shadowing is about next week when i get back. you're right...it sounds fun! I'm looking forward to it.

so, i was wondering... does anyone kno what the grading scale at BC is? i kno that A is 4.0, A- 3.66, ect, but how bout wat you need to get an A. Like a person might need a 93 to get an A, then a 90 for a A -....

Hopefully u understood my question and can help me out. Thanks.

The grading scale changes with each professor, especially if your prof curves the tests. My roommate got a between a 60 and 70 on most of her tests in one of her classes, but she ended up with a B+ for the semester because of the curve.
