Official Boston College RD Class Of 2017 Thread

I have friends who received their acceptances today but I don’t have anything in the mail… I live in Rhode Island so it is hard for me to believe that my letter would take a while to get to me… Does anyone know of someone who was rejected today? I’m afraid that not getting my letter today means that I have been rejected. Thank you all for your help!

i live in rhode island too and i got in early in december but my letter came a day later than other people who i know who were also accepted don’t be worried about timing!

My daughter was Accepted today.
SAT 2150
1/153
Many ECs including tri sport varsity captain
From MA
Unfortunately, probably cannot afford to attend. Not counting on much financial aid. She would love to go.

That is such a relief! thank you so much for the consolation! lol

My D received a large envelope in mail this afternoon from BC! We live in central CT. We put the envelope back in the mailbox unopened for her to retreive when she gets home. This is my first post ever and I will make this short for now. I’m assuming this means she has been accepted based on earlier posts. Really curious what financial aid will be like. My wife seems to think that BC does not offer any or offers very little aid. Good luck to all the rest of you. My daughter was rejected SCEA Yale and that was crushing for her. She has been accepted to UConn honors, BU Presidential Scholarship so far, waiting on three Ivies and one mini Ivy later this week.

Who is the mini ivy? I have never heard that expression before so I am curious. Congrats on BC! Good things come in large packages.

What’s a mini ivy?

Sorry, the mini Ivy is Amherst College, otherwise known as a top LAC

I live all the way in Jamaica, so I’m probably looking at another week or two before I get my letter :(

I’m an international student. I got about 30 minutes ago an email informing me about my acceptance. Yay :)

@dogood
don’t panic! that doesn’t mean anything. I got in EA and my letter came 2 full days after all my friends in my town. Just be patient (I know it’s really hard to), your mail being late does NOT mean that you were rejected. good luck!
