<p>Yes I am going for COM as well. Which orientation will you guys attend? July or August? I’m considering August so I can just stay there when the semester starts and wont’ have to buy separate plane tickets.</p>

<p>HS GPA- 2.2. Without a doubt the reason why I wasn’t accepted.</p>
<p>Even with 60 credits they can’t look past high school? Now I am worried.</p>

<p>to be fair, I had a low high school gpa (high 2.0 range) and transferred with slightly over 60 units (64 I think) and I got in. College GPA was 3.88.</p>
<p>Well I’m honestly considering accepting BU because they offered me a little more than half a ride to attend.</p>
<p>Accepted to Boston College an hour ago with double the aid. What to do?!</p>
<p>I didn’t know BC even had a COM school lol. If it does, I don’t think its up to par with BU. </p>
<p>BC is a good school but its really up to you. Make a list of pros and cons and see what you like the most.</p>

This is my first post, and I just got into SMG now! So excited (being my first college acceptance). I really didn’t think I had a chance. Waiting for USC/NYU, good luck guys and hopefully/possibly see you next Fall!

HS GPA: 3.4
CC GPA: 3.56 (finished 78 Semester Units completed/ 7 Units IP)
EC: Lots (2 Honor Societies, Student Body, VP for a Service club, Eagle Scout, Sports HS, Band HS)

<p>I was also accepted to BC today, but they offer a communication major, not exactly a journalism one… and housing is guaranteed for only one year! So Im still sticking to BU!
As some of you, Im also waiting to hear from NYU to make a decision…</p>

<p>I called this morning about transfer credit and they said that COM is sending out credit evaluations in the mail in the next week.</p>
<p>I have lurked this thread almost everday-not posting because i was convinced i would not get in.Applied ED last year and got rejected after being rolled over to RD and then deffered.But this year i got in and even better to SMG only applied to BU and NYU so i am beyond excited!

<p>Congrats! I got into BU SMG too! I didn’t get into NYU Stern though. I heard only 25 applicants were selected out of over 1000. That’s too crazy! I think I would have a better chance at some ivy league schools instead of NYU!</p>

as I dont have the highest GPA among all the applicants</p>
