Hi competition I am also applying for the same major. I agree with the other poster your GPA is on the low side but I believe your extra-curriculars more than make up for it. It is great that you have real experience and are in contact with a professor, which is more than I can say.

I just turned in the midterm report, hope its not too late.

Thank you!!! They emailed me today (4/11) morning, and my stats are below (in case some of you are curious):

High School GPA: 3.73/4.0
College GPA: 3.85/4.0
(didnāt send SAT scores)

Interned at Hotel Nikko San Francisco, currently interning at The Westin St. Francis, and secured a summer internship at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Retail experience at Fossil, Banana Republic, and Michael Kors.

University Honors Program, Deanās Honor Roll, Co-Captain of International Rifle Traveling Team, Club Managers Association of America (CMAA), McLaren (business school) Scholars, and National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS).

Hope to hear your acceptances soon! Good luck!

Iām sorry you didnāt get in Bus2012ā¦ Your stats are very similar to mineā¦ Guess Iāll post mine for other peopleās reference as well :)

High School: Canadian/5 years ago. 2.75 GPA
College GPA: 3.84 with a B on my midterm report. Mostly hard courses on there, about 30 credits completion.

Extras: In the US Air Forceā¦ About to be a veteran. Over 200 hours of volunteer work for flood relief efforts in North Dakota, early promotion for excellence, letters of recommendation from my commander and a college prof.

Iām really anxious to get the results from BU! I also applied to NU and Umass Amherst. Goodluck everyone!

I applied to the business school. Iām going to assume that my high school stats did me in. My experience, letters of recommendation, and college grades were all top notch. Itās all good. I liked the school but didnāt love it. Itās a great fit for others though so good luck! I heard they were being generous with aid for transfers this year so good luck on that front too!

Btw my letter stated that there were 3700 applicants for 400 spots. So those that get in must be really exceptional. Good on you if you get admitted.

Do they really care about high school grades for Junior transfers? My HS grades were terrible but now I will have over 60 units with a great GPA and solid ECsā¦

No acceptance, no rejectionā¦ still playing the wait game!
I guess if they look at my HS transcript, I wonāt get in either, like I didnāt get in my freshman yearā¦ keep waitingā¦

Is it too late to send Mid-term grades? I have finished all my Community College courses. I know the deadline is way past. Are they going to consider me even without the Mid-term Grades??

I think it had to pull a fair amount of weight. I had a 3.7 with 50 units. 6 years of business management experience. 3 letters of recommendation (2 of which were exceptional). I find it hard to believe my college stats got me rejected. Itās ok I understand where they are coming from. Iām 6 years removed from high school and I have changed my life since then but I had a 2.31 in HS. I think they viewed that with big red flags.

3700 is the total of all transfer students, not for a particular school!
All the acceptance and/or rejection letters state this number, which seems a bit lower compared to previous years. I believe last year BU had around 4500 to 5000 transfer applicants, if Iām not wrong.
