No I did not apply for FA. To be honest, and at the risk of sounding like a buzzkill, I feel like that has quite an effect on the decision. From what I’ve dug up in past threads no applicant who did not apply for FA was rejected, or even WLed for that matter. That part actually kinda disturbs me.

Moving on to stats:
Current: McGill Uni, first year
Going into: sophomore, if I transfer (slightly more complicated if I stay but that’s another discussion)
GPA: 4.0 first semester, final 3.91 (didn’t send that in yet, they never asked)
HS GPA: 4.25 weighted, I estimate around 3.99 unweighted
SAT: 2380, 780 in writing
SAT II: 800 Math II, 800 French w/ Listening, 790 Phys, 780 Chem
ECs: just a bit in first year of college, math society rep, helped organize a conference, played intramurals ultimate frisbee. Did student council, student newspaper, JV tennis in HS
Recs: One really good one, one iffy
Essays: honestly I’m not very good at telling whether a piece of my writing is good or not, but if anyone’s interested just PM me!

Applied: Columbia, Brown, Williams
Accepted: Brown
Rejected: Columbia
Pending: Williams

That’s the right number. I definitely had to call two or three times before getting through. I’d imagine they are getting a lot of calls right now.
