@transfers2010: I’m gonna wait to post mine on the official decision thread; I still have four schools to hear back from.

bump~
10 char

This thread is so inactive. I cannot believe it! Everyone is probably studying for finals. I, however, am freaking out about Brown’s decisions! It is currently May 9, and decisions will be mailed mid-May?! I keep hoping they will post a date soon! No luck thus far. I’m going to the admission office today. If I find out any information, I will share.

Thanks nlm! I’m going crazy too!

Just called admissions. The decisions will be mailed out by the end of this week!

I know the website says decisions will be mailed out, but do you think they will post them online as well?

Nope, they usually don’t for transfers, so we have to wait in agony until we get our letters!

no!! my school’s mail system is notoriously bad… crossing my fingers they don’t lose this piece of mail like they’ve lost everything else!

Hrmm… then what is the “Decision:” box in the application data table on the website for?

@ Kevizzle That’s what I’m wondering too… I applied as a freshman 2 years ago and that’s where I got the bad news as opposed to waiting for the mail, so I’m hoping this year maybe they’re changing what they normally do and are posting online as well

I just called and they said decisions will be mailed by Friday! Ahhh, I’m nervous! I am also wondering about the “decision” box haha.

So apparently Brown is asking for my IDOC information. Does that mean anything? Im so nervous!

@nlm2993 Mailed meaning sent out by Friday, or that we should receive them by Friday?

@milabrown They ask everyone for their IDOC, and I think that just means your application is incomplete until they receive it, as Brown is a need-blind university and they take financials into consideration.

@oahmad - Brown is need-aware for transfers

@wellesleygirl14 I think they still need it for it to be a complete app regardless, so they have access to tax forms and such. Regardless, good luck to all!

wait…there’s no decision box, only it say: Decision: Admission decisions are currently not available.

There used to be a box, but I guess it went away along with the app materials; now it just says the term I applied to and the Concentrations etc and addresses

It says on their website that they dont require IDOC from everyone. Should I even bother with the paperwork before receiving my decision? And why in the world College Board only sent me the request in May?!

The small and large envelopes (haha, we all know what that means) will be mailed by Friday. Expect to receive them later in the case that they are, in fact, sent on Friday.

Guys I’m pretty sure the decisions will also be released online. It just does not make sense for mail to be the only way we find out.

[Brown Admission: Application Timelines](<a href=“Undergraduate Admission | Brown University”>Undergraduate Admission | Brown University)

“A decision letter will be mailed to each transfer applicant in mid-May. **Applicants will also be able to obtain the decision on their application from the Admission Office’s web site. ** If you are admitted and have applied for financial aid, you will receive notice of your financial aid award with your decision letter.”

4 more days!!!
