Official Brown 2015 WAITING Room (for wait-listers only)

^maybe i was an exception, but i went to a roundabout public high school (definitely nothing special) and i received a call. by that same token, i have met students here from private high schools who did not receive calls either. i wouldn’t assume anything until you have the letter in hand and you’ve received a phone call from your admissions rep informing you of the news.

I go to a poor unknown school, so that info is wrong

do they always call before they send a letter if you get in?

^No 10 char

dlambi, you found out yesterday? and you found out last week? that means they’re staggering the decisions, so there’s still hope…right…

:(

^ It doesn’t mean anything atm as far as I’m concerned.

ah…reassuring. fingers crossed, hoping for a call sometime soon

i got an e-mail from my regional rep saying that if i reply & confirm that i’m ready to accept a spot at brown, they’ll send me a formal offer of admission!!! the e-mail was also CC’ed to my guidance counselor. did anybody else get any news?

^ congrats!!! someday1214

wowwwww congratulations :)

i’m still hoping for some good news :/

yaaaaay congrats! hopefully more good news for the rest of us soon as well!!!

Congrats! What time did you hear?

congratulations, someday1214! that’s fantastic news!

My Brown Rep called my school saying there was a spot for me at Brown and I instantly called the back to tell them I would commit. Packages go out Friday if I am not mistaken

Any internationals heard from Brown?

Yesterday I found my letter was still not delivered to admission office and the post office said they could not fix this problem within two weeks…
I don’t know if I should send the letter again via email now. It’s probably too late?

You should email your letter, preferably to the admisssions officer who read the applications for your high school. Just call admissions and ask them for the email address.

Don’t expect a reply to your submission, but they will get it and read it.

Good luck

I just got a call. I got in. I’m freaking out. I really really hope the money’s enough.

Yeah, I’m an international.

Do we think there’s any hope left for those who have not yet been called? And by called, are you guys saying they called your home/cell or your counselor?

My call was on my cell, but I’m on the west coast so it was before school starts here (and the officer knew that, and said he was trying to catch me before school).
