And for those of you who are Brown hopefuls, do not stress about the scores and GPA. I just knew I wasn’t going to get in because my scores were so much lower than most people’s. You also don’t have to be able to cure cancer at 17. As long as you do the little stuff like volunteer and shadow someone in your area who is in the career that you’re hoping to one day pursue. Why you think you were deferred: My stats likely held me back a ton, but I think the admissions committee saw that I was a very good fit for Brown; thus, they were conflicted and resorted to deferring me.</p>
